- Meeting of Waters - The tour begins at 8 a.m. with a hotel pickup by the guide. Guests are then transported to the port of Ceasa to board a speedboat. The first destination is Catalao, a floating village where visitors can see the world’s largest scaled fish – the Giant Arapaima Gigas. Feel free to touch them if you dare! Rest assured, despite their strength, they are harmless. Feeding them is also an option.
The next highlight of the tour is the meeting of the waters. This is where the black waters of the Rio Negro converge with the brown waters of the Solimões River, and remarkably, the two colors remain distinct! The Rio Negro, a tributary of the Amazon, originates in Colombia and derives its dark hue from dissolved minerals and decaying vegetation. Conversely, the Solimões River’s light brown color comes from sediment. When these rivers meet, they create a striking visual contrast that is truly captivating. Be sure to capture photos for your social media!

Balneário Cachoeira do Castanho (Publico) - After a day filled with river exploration, it’s time to return to the port and embark on a 1-hour car journey. The route crosses the Rio Negro bridge, leading to the opposite side of Cachoeira Village. Upon arrival, guests will board a boat to a floating house, where they can swim with pink river dolphins in their natural environment. Following the swim, lunch is served at a floating restaurant, featuring a local Amazonian fish called tambaqui.
-
Comunidade Tatuyo - Post-lunch, the journey continues upriver by boat to the Tatuyos Indigenous Village, where traditional ways of life are preserved. During the village visit, guests can learn about their lifestyle and culture in the Amazon and join in a welcome dance. After the village tour, the group returns by boat to the port, then by car to Manaus, arriving at 4:00 p.m.
