Brilliant! Brilliant! Brilliant! - The high spot of my trip to the amazon! having been sorely disappointed with a trip on the Grand Amazon expedition boat by Iberostar, this more than made up for 3 days of disappointment. It did what it said it would and did not fail to deliver. our Guide was wonderful and she was well versed in all of the activities. Milton was a star and could not have been more helpful. My only regret is that I did not do the jungle tour with him. it was all very well executed. I would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to a have a full experience with little time available.

Must do in Manaus - I contacted this company to inquire about the river day tour and swim with the dolphins online. Milton responded promptly with prices and confirmed my reservation. He contacted me by WhatsApp the day before the tour to provide pick-up time and other information. We were picked up at the hotel on time and were driven to the boat dock. The caption and guide were both excellent. They took us safely around Rio Negro. The boat was clean and well maintained. Lunch was included. The buffet was quite good. This full day tour is excellent. They delivered as promised. No hidden fees. A must do when visiting in Manaus.

Simply magical - From start to end this was an amazing experience for the day. I stuffed up and got my dates wrong. Milton was very accommodating and came to get me anyway to join the trip. We had a swim with the pink dolphins in the wild they just came to us. They seem to love humans even though they are the apex predator in the Amazon. No fear of piranha in the water as they stay away from the dolphins. Had a lovely lunch at a floating restaurant. Tried fishing picarucu at a fish farm ( species of prehistoric fish) no hook just bait no pain for the fish. Saw stilted village floating village meet with indigenous people in their malacca, ending the day at the meeting of the waters. Really well organised with lovely Christina our guide for the day. Couldn’t have asked for more it was magical

Unforgettable boat ride - Unforgettable landscapes view by boat from Rio Negro, with very friendly Guide, attentive, and familiar with the customs, fauna and flora of the region. We met a floating community, and we made fun recordings of pirarucu fishing simulation, as well as knowing the encounter of the waters.

Great Experience - We had such a great time! Pick-up was on time at our hotel and we were taken directly to our boat. Our guide Dennis was AMAZING! So very knowledgeable and kind. Swimming with the pink dolphins, the floating community, lunch, and the meeting of the rivers were my favorite parts. The only downside was going back to the original point to pick up other people that seemed to have the half day tour. It took time away from how smoothly our tour was going. I will still highly recommend and return myself.

Amazing day out - Actually going slowly though the narrow parts of the solimoes river and seeing the forest and wild life on either side.

I recommend - The tour was amazing and exceeded all my expectations. From the first contact until the end of the service, everything went perfectly. The staff was extremely attentive, with a special emphasis on the guide Ana Cristina, who was excellent and very careful throughout the tour. I highly recommend Amazon Private Tours.

$32.56 Amazon Safari from Manaus vs $100 River Day Tour from Manaus - I'm not someone who writes reviews often, but I felt the responsibility to share this one to help others the way I’ve benefited from other reviews. So here it is: If you want a private boat trip, this option is good for you. However, if you don’t mind sharing a boat with a couple of additional people and want to save $67.44 while getting the same experience, I recommend booking the Amazon Safari from Manaus instead. Aside from the boat trip being private, all other activities are shared with other visitors. I did both this tour and the Amazon jungle tour with this company, and while I was happy with the jungle group tour, I felt the river day tour was not worth paying triple the price of the Amazon Safari for the same activities. I spoke to someone the next day during the jungle visit who did the safari, and that’s how I found out it’s exactly the same. I had asked Milton about the differences before the tour, and he mentioned the only difference was the quietness, but it was too late for me to cancel. The guides are good, but if you’re unsure about which River Day Tour to choose from Manaus, I’d suggest going for the Amazon Safari and saving your $67. Uber is easy and cheap to get to the meeting point.

Ok day trip, very eye opening. - overall it was an ok trip, but it has some disappointing aspects. pickup by milton was smooth and on time at 8, also picked a couple up on the way so it was a tiny group of 3. milton was very nice and friendly. he dropped us off at harbor where we met our boat driver and guide for the day (prepare a tips for each if you can). they both did a good job on the tour. first we did swimming with dolphins which was nice. there are changing rooms at the facility and i was able to keep my bag / wallet in the boat. this was the first bathroom stop if you need, arrived there around 9:15. there is a submerged platform you can stand on where the feeding/baiting happens, but you can also swim out. the dolphins are not shy and will brush across your legs and body to get to the food. this is the best look at them you will get. then we did a village stop, where locals performed some dances and music. half the performers looked pretty bored and unmotivated. they have souvenir stalls all around the main room and they do take credit cards but the prices were more than 2x the souvenir shop you stop at during lunch, so despite wanting to support locals, I definitely do not recommend shopping here. they also do group picture with each visitor. then they will show you a table with some local food like smoked and boiled fish, some cut up fruit, yuca, yams, bamboo, and ants you can sample. also drinks you can buy. tip basket on the side. hygiene is very questionable here and the knife they were using to cut the fruit looked very dirty. also several people from the culture show had immediately changed into their casual clothes, breaking the immersion. then we went to a floating lunch buffet place. good lunch, scary bathrooms, lovely views, huge souvenir shop attached. lots of the same souvenirs as in manaus or from the previous stop. credit card machines available. then we went to the lily pads lake and jungle hike which was very disappointing. Per website description "After lunch we'll visit the lake of the Water Lilies to take some pictures and enjoy the amazing landscape." they only tell you on the way that unfortunately the lake is now completely dry and the lily pads are all dead. this should be made clear up front in the description. it felt dishonest. the walk to the lookout was less than 5 min and had no interesting views. instead you will dock on a beach completely covered with washed up garbage. kids will run towards you with captured animals like monkeys, sloth, macaws, for photo-ops (20 reals per animal). the guide warned us about this ahead of time, which I appreciated it. but it was still heartbreaking to see the distressed captured animals. the sloth was young and clearly crying and terrified. animal exploitation is a very ugly look. but most alarming of all was getting off the boat and onto the shore while there was sharp broken glass everywhere, very easy to trip and fall on to. especially for the couple with us who only had flip-flops. maybe not a problem doing the wet season. i do not understand why we did this stop as it took away a lot more than it added. the white sand beach activity was also not possible during the dry season but at least i knew because i asked before booking. then we went to another floating village to play-fish with pirarucu, which was nice. they had a macaw on the property but please don't scream at the macaw like some of the other idiot tourists were doing while also recording. then we went to the meeting of the water which was really nice. though on a separate tour i got a much better look at it, so your mileage may vary. the rides up and down the river were my favorite and you see how life here has completely adapted to the amazon river environment. the trash everywhere was really sad, the village and lily pad stops were disappointing. overall ok tour that was quite eye opening.
