Really fun experience - If ever in Side, do try this if you like water activities, adrenalin rush and nature. It is a really fun experience. I started out really nervous, because I am not in the most sporty shape, and I can't swim, but that's not a necessity :) You get to wear a lifejacket and helmet. They charge you for rafting shoes (overpriced), which you should buy beforehand, or wear sandals with a strap so they don't get taken by the current. I wore flip flops, and that wasn't a good idea, because they fell off a few times. Don't wear sneakers you want to keep afterwards, because they will get drenched !!
If you want videos of the experience buy a waterproof case for your phone beforehand or it can be bought at the site a bit more expensive (otherwise the phone will be left in the bus with your other stuff). They only take pictures, which you can buy at the end of the day.
Be prepared that the water is freezing, but you will get used to it, and if you try this in the summer it can actually be a nice cool down.
Our guide Ali was really good and funny, which made the whole trip a lot more fun and enjoyable.
It was overall a nice experience, but you will be charged extra on this trip if you want something to drink, for extra equipment (like rafting shoes and waterproof phonecase) and if you want to try the zip line on one of the stops.

Fantastic day out! Excellent Value - Had an amazing day out with prestige rafting. Don’t waste money booking rafting tours through your holiday operator, go direct with these guys. Very well organised and half the price of my travel company. From what I could tell every company uses the same stretch of water anyway.
They collected us from our hotel and took us to the site which is about an hour from Side. You are given an introduction in either English or German and given the chance to buy appropriate shoes (10 Euros). You can leave you stuff at this site (which is where you finish) and then travel to the start of the course.
The water is freezing cold when you first get in!! My 2 girls (9 and 11) panicked a bit. However, you do get used to it and 15mins later they were jumping in and out of the boat. You will get wet, the other boats will splash you and you may fall in but it’s all very safe and part of the fun. You get the chance to have a drink and something to eat half way down but you can pay for this at the end so you don’t need to carry cash.
There is a cameraman who videos your day and you have the chance to buy this at the end of the day for €25. They aren’t pushy about it though. We had an issue where the DVD didn’t work when we got home but the team at the office sorted it for us and sent a replacement copy.
I was a little nervous about doing this trip but it ended up being the best day of our holiday by a long way. Thanks Prestige!!

Day out - The faring is a great experience full of fun and some how full of unexplained bruises lol. You get to meet great people which is very handy if you are travelling alone. The downside is the push you to spend more money unnecessarily. My trainers were perfect but one of the guides came to me and pushed and pushed for me to buy their shoes when I asked why and what was wrong with mine he said they were too high... We'll they weren't the sole was lower than a running shoe, I witnessed the guide try this with another guy who had running shoes and again he gave the excuse of your trainers are too expensive so highly disappointed to be pushed like this and I am happy I didn't take his advice. FYI closed shoes are great, to be fair my ones from primary for £10 were amazing the thin breathable materiel ones that covers your feet are perfect.
All through the day you kept being made to feel you need to spend money when it's not needed again we were told we would stop at 3 places including the end but we actually stopped at 4 places 2 of which were mainly to take an unneeded drink break one infact after 5mins of starting down the river. The third for a zip line experience which looks cool for someone who is not scared of heights (which I am) again we were told we owuld be here for 10 minutes which ended up being closer to 25mins and from what other people told me and I could see you were expected to pay £10 for a ride less than 1minute long.
Ontop of this I hope I am not the only person who plans ahead to buy water and soft drinks ahead of a full day excursion
Don't bother as you are not allowed your water once you get of the coach until you get back on it on the way home you are forced into buying drinks. Furthermore the minibus taking you there has very little aircon. When I got back I felt so sick I went straight to sleep and woke up 14hours later.
Little tip buy a waterproof case for your phone! The guides advise you not to take them but it's totally worth it as their videos at the end will only show your group for 1 or 2 mins out of a 45 minute video and if you want the pictures you have to buy the 30minute video and can't buy your own which is highly disappointing as the actual trip is so much fun but I have nothing to show for it.
I know it seems like a lot of negatives but believe me the actual trip down the river which covers about 13k I so much fun and a real experience I highly recommend hence the reason I have given the trip a 4 star review

God rafting but the restaurant is a tourist trap - The rafting was really good but that was the only good thing about this trip the rest was all tourist trap!!!
And we waited 30 min in front of a hotel because some people who booked it didn’t show up, which was really long time to wait in that heat !
The guys working at the restaurant where really rude at they took overprice for everything and if you pay in TL they rob you!! Pay in euro if u want to buy anything !
I wanted to pay with card because I didn’t have enough money because the overcharged beers had been more expensive in TL, than in euro which I didn’t have, so they made a big problem with this !!
