Great food tour - Nellie & Chloe were the best tour guides. They were so informative about the culture and the history and really gave us a great taste of the Philippines. We also had lovely local experiences by riding the tricycle and the jitney which are completely unforgettable. We even made it to a local bar to try the local beer.

Perfect intro to street food - We tasted so much good food. They were not joking about showing up hungry. Loved that we got to ride in a trike and a Jeepney. Nel was amazing! She made the tour fun and interesting.

Come hungry!! - I was very excited for the street food tour and it did not disappoint. It exceeded my expectations. The food was great and a little adventurous at times, which is what I was hoping for. It’s a lot of food! So, definitely come hungry. I was lucky enough to be a guest on Nel’s first solo day as a guide. She was fantastic! She made the tour that much more special with her knowledge, charm and enthusiasm. Thank you Nel!!

A "Must Do" Foodie Tour in Manila - We booked this tour after reviewing hundreds of Tours on Trip Advisor, with hopes of sampling local street food in Manila. We also watched many youtube videos about Street Food with Jian, as the local guide in Food for Social Media Influencers. We are glad we booked with Explore Manila. Chloe and Nel were excellent tour guides in answering my many questions on Filipino food and local history.. Shout out to Jian for putting this tour together! To add to the adventure, we also did not cancel in the midst of Typhone Kristine (The rain and winds will not stop us from filling our bellies). First off, the Starbucks meet up spot was easy to find using GRAB, which was a great restroom spot and GRAB drop off and pick up point. We started our tour taking a Trike (never been on one, but wanted to) a local spot to try filipino dumplings and BBQ skewers. We were served an assortment of skewers, all so tasteful and we even made our own Filipino dipping sauce ( Cane Sugar Vinegar, Soy Sauce, Calamansi & red peppers). The filipino BBQ sauce is so delicious, it puts USA BBQ sauce to shame. If you have never tried Filipino BBQ, you will be missing the explosion of simple ingredients of flavors in your mouth. I can eat this everyday. We also sampled Fried Egg Rolls, Chicken and that ever so popular Fried Banana Stick, which sell for $3.00 USD in Los Angeles, but for fractions of the price. We went to a Bakery also. We took a short Jeepney ride to another local spot and sampled even more food. I don't want to ruin your taste experience so I will not provide what is offered (but you can request at the end of the tour a list of all foods sampled), which was definitely more than the 10 items promised. If you are worried about the walking, there were no cracked sidewalks, no walking for hours, this felt like a short stroll for us. There is also an additional restroom stop at the restaurant close to the end of the tour. This is a food excursion you don't want to miss out on.......plus no tourists! Now we feel like expert local food eaters....so we will be planning to return to Mandaluyon to eat some BBQ. From the words of Chloe "Come Hungry"

Great introduction to Philippines street food - Chloe and Nel (on her first outing leading the tour) guided us around a local suburb, sampling different types of street treats than we’d typically attempt on our own. By the end of this tour we were stuffed, having samples so many different things. Highly recommend!!

Great experience - This was a wonderful experience. Jian was lovely and he allowed us to experience a little bit of the local culture. 3 hours flew by tasting incredible food from street vendors. I believe it was about 18 different bites, we were full and happy by the end of the tour. Even managed to find the Balut lady to try the infamous egg 🥚 Definitely recommended to get a glimpse of the real Filipino life.

A fun and educational experience - Chloe and Nel were great tour guides. Both were very nice, conversational, and had a lot of information and Filipino food history to share. The food was fantastic and diverse. Being able to experience local Transpo as well was a bonus. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is adventurous when it comes to food.
