Taking this cooking class is not to be missed. - It was just such a fun experience. JUNGHEE is a gracious hostess and terrific teacher. We enjoyed everything about our time with her from walking to the market, learning about Korean food, to chopping and cooking and, best of all, enjoying what we made. Don’t miss an opportunity to take her cooking class!

A must-do experience! - If highly recommend this experience! Jung-Hee was a wonderful teacher! First we went to a local market and tried some Gimbap and ice pops - very delicious! Then we had a cooking class and cooked authentic Korean cuisine. I feel like I could do this at home now! Jung-Hee was so engaging and kind, we learned so much about Korean cuisine. This tour is a must-do! One of my favorite things I did in all of Korea!

Great Korean cooking course! - Sarah was very friendly and knowledgeable. The tour started at the exit of a subway station and we continued from there walking through the market, and proceeding to Sarah’s house / apartment and the cooking lesson began. It was very fun experience for me and for my young teenagers. The food was delicious! We learnt a lot! What a memorable experience! Thank you, Sarah!

Fun, educational and tasty! - Sarah, her given American name, was a wonderful instructor. She greeted us warmly at our meeting point then took us to the market and gave us a quick lesson on what to look for and how to select different foods there. She even purchased a couple of snacks for us and even had one of us order Popsicles for the group in Korean. We loved the market! It was authentic and not as commercialized as the touristy markets like the Myeongdong night market. The Mangwon market had lots of fresh seafood including live ones, and lots of fruit, veggies, spices, etc., not to mention the street food. After walking through the market, our group went to Sarah's house for the cooking class. We did not know in advance that she lived on the 5th floor! It was challenging for me, as I was using a cane. Her house was set up one one side for eating, the other for cooking. She started out by showing us the menu for what we would be preparing and then a quick lesson on a few useful Korean words. Her mastery off the English language was quite good. She was pert, lively, and it was clear that she loved what she was doing. Her instructions in the food prep were simple and easy to follow. She made it fun, personal, and we got to know something about everybody in our group of 10. We made a total of 3 things, and she prepared the soup and the rice. After we finished preparing our foods, we transferred to the dining table and enjoyed our lunch. It was all very good. She provided a simple dessert of a small slice of melon, which was a perfect ending for a meal with lots of flavors.
