• Mannum - The journey to Mannum takes about 2 hours from the starting point. The Mayflower, the oldest paddle wheeler in South Australia, was built in 1884. Explore the town after the cruise.

• Mannum Lookout - Enjoy stunning views of the Murray River. Watch houseboats drift past willows and gum trees, and see the ferry cross the river.

• Big Rocking Horse - Located in Gumeracha, South Australia, the Big Rocking Horse is a 25-tonne structure standing over 18 meters (59 ft) tall. Designed by David McIntosh, it is one of Australia’s many ‘Big Things’ meant to attract motorists. The site also features a wooden toy factory, wildlife park, and café. Owned by the Wilkinson family since the early 1970s, it was sold in 2004 but continues to operate.

• Melba’s Chocolate & Confectionery - Founded by Graeme and Joy Foristal in March 1981, Melba’s Chocolates began in a small wash house behind their Adelaide restaurant. The business moved to a garage behind their Oakbank home in the Adelaide Hills after the restaurant was sold. In June 1990, Melba’s was asked to supply chocolates for the Adelaide Convention Centre, prompting a move to larger premises. This expansion was aided by the purchase of equipment from a liquidation sale, leading to Melba’s becoming a notable chocolate and confectionery maker and tourist attraction in South Australia.

• Woodside Cheese Wrights - Established in 1994, Woodside Cheese is a family-owned artisan cheese factory in the Adelaide Hills. They produce a unique range of Australian cheeses using high-quality South Australian cow and goat milk from local herds. Their sister company, Kris Lloyd Artisan, started in 2014, specializes in premium handmade Buffalo Milk cheeses and has expanded to include cow and goat milk cheeses. All cheeses are handmade using recipes developed over two decades to highlight the quality and seasonality of the milk. After visiting the cheese factory, we will travel to Mount Lofty, a 40-minute journey, and stay there for about 45 minutes.

• Mount Lofty Summit - The peak of the Mount Lofty Ranges in the Adelaide Hills offers breathtaking panoramic views of Adelaide’s skyline and coast. Over 350,000 people visit the summit each year, which stands more than 710 meters above sea level. From the summit, you can walk down to Waterfall Gully, join the Heysen Trail, or explore walking trails through native bushland to Cleland Wildlife Park. Visit the Mount Lofty Summit Visitor Information Outlet and Gift Shop for maps, trail advice, souvenirs, locally produced gifts, and clothing. The return trip to Adelaide accommodation takes about 50 minutes from Mount Lofty.
