• Moray - Located 49.3 km from Cusco, Moray is a unique archaeological site. It features enormous natural depressions or holes in the ground, which were utilized to create terraces or agricultural platforms with irrigation channels in the surrounding areas. The most fascinating aspect is the temperature difference between the top and bottom of the depressions, which can reach up to 15°C in the 30-meter-deep depression.
• Salinas de Maras - In Maras, visitors can explore the renowned salt mines, also known as “salt pans.” These consist of approximately 3,000 small wells, each with an average area of about 5 m². During the dry season, the wells are filled every three days with salty water from a natural spring located at the top. As the water evaporates, the salt gradually solidifies (50 min.)
