Great guide Joe made it a memorable walk - The guide Joachim Coutinho was simply, simply great. He really knew the subject, the history of Margao, and was competent to do the walk. Walks are ruined by incompetent guides not familiar with the history of their locale, but Joe was an exception. In fact, his understanding of history is so good that I learnt a lot many things from him, despite having a academic career in history and having travelled to 70+ countries and taken more than 500 history walking tours in over 150 cities. I really admire Joe. Great knowledge, knows his stuff, thoroughly immersed in his job, very good company. Since I took a keen interest, he answered all my queries and walked with me for more than the scheduled 2 hours. Thank you, Joe, I will be back for more tours with you.

Investigate better walking trips - I saw some beautiful homes that I stopped to look at and noted some of the architectural features. This walking trip could have been more interesting.
