Hike Prevelly to Boranup Forest 23 km
Cape to Cape Track - Walk through beautiful peppermint and jarrah forests, heading inland to enjoy stunning views over the plains before descending the 365 log steps to a hidden oasis called Boodjidup Creek and the Frank Mouritz Bridge. Continue along the track through sand dunes (watch out for emus in this section) leading to the very sloped, narrow, and boggy Boodjidup Beach!
Boranup Karri Forest - Enter the majestic Karri-filled Boranup Forest, home to the world’s third tallest hardwood. The solid track underfoot and afternoon shade of the karri trees make it all seem effortless!
Hike Boranup Forest to Cosy Corner 21 km
Boranup Karri Forest - Home to a variety of wildlife and wildflowers!
Hamelin Bay - Hamelin Bay, home to some of the Cape’s friendliest stingrays who enjoy a meal of freshly caught fish!
Cape to Cape Track - Continue past the many islands and headlands of Foul Bay before a narrow trail takes you through peppermint trees along an undulating track leading to Foul Bay Lighthouse and Cosy Corner.
Hike Cosy Corner to Cape Leeuwin 20.5 km
Cape to Cape Track - Cosy Corner is a definite highlight of the entire track – navigate along rocky ledges and around blowholes, making it an exciting section! Listening to the waves crashing against the rocks beneath you is truly amazing, and don’t be surprised if you get sea sprayed! After passing Elephant Rock, find yourself on Deepdene Beach – a 6 km beach that can be boggy at times. Leave the beach, climb up the sand dunes, and away from the sound of the crashing waves.
Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - Narrow single tracks lead you to Skippy Rock, and from here, only 3 km remain of your incredible adventure! As you reach Quarry Bay, there is one last small beach section, then over some rocks and up to the car park. And there it is – the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse! You have just hiked 124 km from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin – Congratulations! Tonight, celebrate in style!
