Hike from Cape Naturaliste to Smiths Beach 17 kms

Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse - Kicking off your 7 day hiking adventure from here

Cape to Cape Track - You will begin your journey gently by following the boardwalks downhill to Sugar Loaf Rock. The track then takes you up on top of coastal clifftops then out on to Three Bears Beach before heading up a steep sand dune and back along the ridge. The Track then runs along an extended section of carved limestone sea cliffs before reaching the coastal hamlet of Yallingup. After Yallingup pass over the granite headland at Torpedo Rock and on to the fabled Smiths Beach

Hike Smith’s Beach to Moses Rock 16km

Canal Rocks - Canal Rocks then onto Wyadup and Injidup Beach. The coastline here is superb!

Hike Moses Rock to Gracetown 16kms

Wilyabrup Sea Cliffs - A wonderfully constructed staircase then guides walkers up and onto the stunning sea cliffs of Wilyabrup Cliffs

Hike Gracetown to Prevelly 21.5km

Cape to Cape Track - You will pass the memorial from the 1996 limestone cliff collapse where a number of children and adults sadly lost their lives. As you head away from Gracetown, you will have entered a desolate lunar landscape with limestone craters that morph into coastal scrubland.

Hike Prevelly to Boranup Forest 23km

Cape to Cape Track - Walking through beautiful peppermint and jarrah forests and heading inland inland to the beautiful views over the plains before heading down the 365 log steps that lead you to a hidden oasis called Boodjidup Creek and the Frank Mouritz Bridge. Heading along the track through some sand dunes (watch out for emus through this section) will lead you to the very sloped, narrow and boggy Boodjidup Beach!

Boranup Karri Forest - You will enter the majestic Karri filled Boranup Forest, home to the world’s third tallest hardwood. The solid track under foot and afternoon shade of the karri trees make it all seem easy!

Hike Boranup Forest to Cosy Corner 21km

Boranup Karri Forest - Home to an array of wildlife and wildflowers!

Hamelin Bay - Hamelin Bay, home to some of the Cape’s friendliest stingrays who love a feed of freshly caught fish!

Cape to Cape Track - Continue on past the many islands and headlands of Foul Bay before a narrow trail takes you through peppermint trees along an undulating track that leads to Foul bay Lighthouse and Cosy Corner.

Hike Cosy Corner to Cape Leeuwin 20.5km

Cape to Cape Track - Cosy Corner is definitely a highlight of the entire track - you have to navigate along rocky ledges and around blowholes which makes it such an exciting section! Listening to the sound the waves make against the rocks underneath you is really awesome and don’t be surprised if you get sea sprayed! After passing Elephant Rock you’ll find yourself on Deepdene Beach - a 6km beach which can be boggy at times. You will leave the beach and climb up the sand dunes and away from the sound of the waves crashing

Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse - Narrow single tracks lead you to Skippy Rock and from here there is only 3kms remaining of your amazing adventure! As you reach Quarry Bay you have one last small beach section then over some rocks and up to the car park. And there she is - the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse! You have just hiked 124kms from Cape Naturaliste to Cape Leeuwin - Congratulations! Tonight you celebrate in style!

Cape to Cape Legends May 2023 🧡 - The 7 day Cape to Cape hike experience with Off The Beaten Track was everything we expected plus more! Walking on the long beach sections was amazing….just your thoughts and the sound of the waves. The Passion, Love and Enthusiasm from Tracy each day and also Andrew our guide absolutely made it a memorable experience. The views on the C2C speak for themselves, whether coastal or forest. Thoroughly enjoyed the week. Met some lovely people and made memories and new friends along the way. Thank You OTBT and fellow hikers.

Cape to Cape May Legends! - Last week, I was fortunate to join OTBT on their 7 day Cape to Cape journey. While the track itself highlights the spectacular South West coastal cliffs, sand dunes, beaches and forests, our guide, Andrew, added to this experience with his knowledge of local history, culture, flora, fauna, and his sense of humour! Off the track, Tracy ensured our week was perfect with amazing food; from indulgent breakfast baskets, local restaurants, home cooked meals for bath and PJ nights, impromptu brekkie at the bakery to unexpected cheese boards, fruit platters and bubbles with choccies popping up along our walk. Our accommodation was extremely comfortable, the massage after day 4 relaxing and the playlist on the bus fantastic. As a solo hiker, I felt part of this family for the week, sharing much fun and laughter and making many memories (captured and shared in over 350 photos on our return). Thank you Tracy and Andrew for a wonderful adventure - I'm still smiling!

Well worth it! - The outstanding and varied scenery encountered on our hike was greatly enhanced by the special touches that Off The Beaten Track (OTBT) brought to this tour. The OTBT team set out to make this an unforgettable journey off and on the track and they nailed it. I loved every moment.

OH MY GOSH……YOU SOOOOO HAVE TO DO THIS! - I joined this hike to spend some much needed time with my best friend. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. To hike through the most beautiful country in the world was breathtaking. Beaches, bush, rocks and giant trees of the forrest, we got it all. We had undulating hills, we had spectacular scenery just around the corner, we had blue sky and just a little bit of sea spray. Each day was filled with laughter and joy and in no time the daily destination was not far! We hiked with a fabulous group of wonderful women who have now become my new friends. Heidi, Andrew and Tracy went above and beyond as guides and owner operators with love, enthusiasm, encouragement and passion for their job and their people. The accomodation was gorgeous, the breakfast baskets, daily lunches, and great variety of dinners was delicious and they catered for everyone’s fancies. I would 100% recommend anyone and everyone to join this amazing group for fun and adventure. I didn’t even know Cape to Cape was on my bucket list, but after achieving it, I can not wait for the next journey with OTBT to begin.

Go on - take a hike with these guys - they are fantastic! - Sometimes an event goes beyond offering a great customer experience and makes a powerful emotional connection. This was my experience over the time OTBT guided us through the Cape to Cape. We we a diverse group in every way, and yet Heidi, Andrew and Tracey found a way to make us all want to do it all over again. Watch out OTBT, I will be back and bringing some of my mates - you guys were spectacular.
