- Grotta Preistorica della Cala - The Cave of Cala is the first cave located just a few meters from the sea. It consists of a front cave and a back cave, linked by a narrow passage, resembling an hourglass. Pebbles and bone tools indicate the presence of Neanderthal ancestors who lived in the cave during the Middle Paleolithic. Later, it was used more systematically by Homo Sapiens. Hunting was essential at that time, which is why various stone tools have been discovered, including scrapers and spine tips, faunal remains, marine shells used as ornaments, bone artifacts, and hearths. The traces found at the site allow us to imagine the lifestyles from 20,000 to 40,000 years ago.

The tours are customizable in terms of itineraries and schedules, allowing participants to explore the true essence of Cilento, one of the world’s unique destinations!
The journey begins with a visit to the Museum of the Sea and the Cave of Cala.
Next, participants will explore Camerota with the Terracotta experience, followed by a visit to the Old Town and Palazzo Santa Maria, culminating in a tasting at the Osteria del Borgo.
The tour continues to Licusati, heading towards the Church of the Annunciation.
Participants will stroll along the scenic road of Ciglioto, enjoy an aperitif at the Mito degli Dei beach establishment, and conclude with a return to Marina di Camerota.
