Highlights
  • White Grotta - The White Grotto, “Grotta Bianca” in Italian, is one of several scenic caves along a rugged coastline, on the eastern side of the island. It gets its name from the calcareous material that coats its sides. White stalactites hang from the roof of the high cave.

The reflection off the caves and the sunlight make the water have this incredible turquoise colour.

  • I Faraglioni - Faraglioni rocks, the 3 spur rocks which rise up out of the sea, on the southern side of the island. These rocks each have a given name: the first still attached to the land is called Stella, the second is called Faraglione Di Mezzo (the one in between), the third one Faraglione Di Fuori or Scòpolo, meaning the head stretching into the sea.
  • Marina Piccola Beach - A pretty little bay, with incredible shades of blue and turquoise shallow waters, which make it an ideal swimming spot.
  • Green Grotta - The Green Grotto is one of a series of beautiful caves around Capri.

Known locally as the “Grotta Verde”, the water around the cave gives off a beautiful green colour, an effect caused by the reflection of light

  • Punta Carena Lighthouse - The Lighthouse of Punta Carèna dominates the southwestern side of the island. “Fàro” in Italian, it was built in 1866 and is the second tallest lighthouse in Italy, after Genova.

Looming behind are the precipice of “La Mìgliera” lined with defense walls built by the British at the start of 1900’s .Caressed by crystal clear waters and bathed in the sun all day long .

  • Blue Grotto - The Blue Grotto, “Grotta Azzùrra” in Italian, is a sea cave on the coast of Capri. Sunlight, passing through an underwater cavity, creates a unique blue reflection, that illuminates the cave.

During Roman times, the grotto was used as a personal swimming hole of the Emperor Tiberius.

Visitors will be able to enter it on small boats, provided by local personnel.

Access ticket: € 14,00 p/p, not included in the tour price.

  • Villa Malaparte - Casa Malaparte (also Villa Malaparte) is a house on Punta Massullo, on the eastern side of the isle of Capri, Italy. It is one of the best examples of Italian modern and contemporary architecture.Casa Malaparte is a red masonry box with reverse pyramidal stairs leading to the roof patio. On the roof is a freestanding curving white wall of increasing height. It sits on a dangerous cliff 32 metres above the sea overlooking the Gulf of Salerno. Access to this private property is either by foot from the town of Capri or by boat and a staircase cut into the cliff. Casa Malaparte’s interior and exterior (particularly the rooftop patio) are prominently featured in Jean-Luc Godard’s 1963 film, Contempt (Le Mépris).[3]

Additional Information

If you are staying on the island for more than just a few days, I strongly recommend a full day at sea.

We begin our day at sea; you wake up at a leisurely hour and make your way to “Bar Gabbiano” in Marina Grande, our meeting point in Capri.

Once we have rounded Tiberius’ Leap, we’ll stop to visit the Grotta Bianca and have a nice long swim beneath the Faraglioni Rocks.

For lunch: I can take you to one of the many waterfront restaurants along the coast, including the La Fontelina beach club with a view of the Faraglioni, Torre Saracena in Marina Piccola, or Il Riccio, situated near the Blue Grotto.

Enjoy the afternoon on board, relaxing and enjoying the sea and all the other grottos!

Entrance to Blue Grotto is not included in the tour price.

Incredible boat trip with Marco! - If you go to Almalfi Coast a private boat around Capri is MUST and I'd definitely recommend booking with Gianni's Boat - and request Marco as your skipper! His English was good, excellent at taking photos and is boating skills absolutely incredible, getting into the coolest and smallest of Grotto even when it's a busy boating season - and also found us the secret cave swimming spots that were out of this world. We'd recommend stopping at a little restaurant called Bagni Tiberio - and doing the walking tour of Capri another day so you can spend most your time on the boat - we booked the Supergozzo boat. It is an expensive trip but having done a bit of research they were lower than some of the other companies recommended by the hotel. Linda who I did the booking through was a great communicator too - very easy to book and meet up. Thank you Marco for an amazing day.

BEST boat day ever! amazing experience! - As a newlywed couple on our honeymoon in southern Italy, it was recommended by many that one of the best things to do when visiting Capri is to do a private boat tour. After lots of research of different tour companies, we saw that Gianni’s boat tours was one of the top rated… we decided to book the full day Capri tour around the island with a stop for lunch in Nerano bay. Our boat guide Marco was absolutely exceptional and made our day the most enjoyable experience. Not only was the wooden gozzo we took beautiful, Marco was clearly a very experienced tour guide as he took us all around the island to the famous spots and grottos (lovers cave, faraglioni rocks etc) and we were very impressed with his skills of maneuvering the boat into the different areas we went to. The day consisted of plenty of opportunities for swimming in the crystal blue waters, photo-ops in front of famous landmarks, and a perfect break up in the day to go for lunch at one of the best restaurant spots in Nerano bay. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Gianni’s boat tours for your next vacation excursion and even more so recommend asking specifically for Marco. Thank you Marco for making our boat day the highlight of our trip!

Seriously beautiful and low stress - We had a phenomenal time with our boat captain Giovanni. He was just so chill and let kiddo and I just do our thing. We swam at least four different times, and picnic was super yummy, and it was 17000 times better than being on one of those large boats with 40 other people. Absolutely and totally worth the cost.

Best Boat Tour Experience Ever! - Marco was the best boat captain around! He took us around the entire island of Capri and showed us all of the grottos and caves and even showed us how to safely swim into some under water caves! If you’re going to Capri you must take this all day private boat tour and request Marco from Giannis boats. Seriously the best part of the trip.

We enjoyed hours in the sun and swimming along with the Blue Grotto. We went to Nerano for lunch. I would highly recommend a full day! It goes quick!

WORST BOAT CRUISE & CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE EVER! - This was one of the worst experiences we have ever had with a pre-purchased boat cruise. We paid over $700 CAN for a full day tour with an English-speaking skipper who was going to tell us history and information about the island of Capri; but were sadly mistaken. Our skipper did not speak English AT ALL and has to take out his google translater constantly. He brought us into dank cave after dank cave and didn't us what it was called or the historical significance behind it. When we would ask, half the time he didn't know. After 4 hours of this, he brought us to the worst restaurant in the Amalfi Coast that cost us over $150 CAN for almost no food and 1 beer. We received no lemoncello until we asked for it. No water, No music, no NOTHING. We asked to be brought back to the dock after lunch and it took almost 30 minutes to even make him understand what we were asking for. When we got back, we spoke to Michael who said because we were out there for 5/7 hours, he would only refund us 50 Euros. I thought this was unfair and reached out to the customer service portal when we got back. Linda responded and after days of back and forth (arguing with me that it was unfortunately we had that experience) she finally agreed to wire transfer me another 100 Euros. It has now been almost a month, I still haven't received the wire transfer even though she said it was done + she refused to give me proof or a confirmation number. She directed me to reach out to Gianni himself; which I did and still have not received a response. This company is severely over-priced and if something goes wrong, they do not take accountability or help to rectify. Save yourself the trouble and book with someone once you get to Amalfi. If you do book with them, and your skipper's name is Chiro, ask for someone else. He CANNOT speak ANY English.
