Great day trip - Excellent day trip! Everything was very well organised and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They couldn’t do enough to make your day the best it could be. Lunch was included, very good but basic. All drinks are an additional cost but very reasonable. Saw lots of turtles with help of captain and host.

A good day touring a long the river - The mud baths was very good but would have liked to have a longer time there. Seeing the turtles really made the trip that much more exciting. We both had good time cruising along the river.

Great day trip - We had a great day out on this trip. We were picked up from our hotel on.time and was an hour drive to get to the boat. The mud baths were brilliant. There are changing rooms and showers there. Then had lunch on the boat. Then went off to turtle beach where we saw turtles. The sandy beach is amazing, so you will need a spare costume if you want to swim in the sea. There is place to eat and drink on the beach and also changing rooms and showers. You see kings tombs cut out in the rock. The boat went slowly past so you could take photos. Then 2 hour boat trip back to the coach then an hour journey back to our hotel. So out from 8.15 to 6.30. So, a long day! You can buy drinks on the boat and photo of you in mud bath. It's very well priced, too.

Spectacular views and good value - Very good value trip with spectacular views and very friendly guide and boat staff. The mud baths were busy but it was possible to find a quiet spot if you wanted one. Turtle beach was similarly busy but big enough to take it. We did see wild turtles which was a bonus. The cliff tombs were spectacular, an amazing engineering accomplishment and the river and Dalyan were lovely. It was a long day and you cannot take your own food and drink on the boat but they did sell drinks and snacks - we've all got to make a living right! - lunch on the boat was tasty and we also sampled blue crab later in the day. A lot of travelling but a good value trip all in all

Good trip - Pick up was on time. It took an hour to get to the port (no stops) for the boat. Captain of boat and bus guide explained about the tour and the full day activities. The guests were then boarded to 3 separate boats based on language they speak. Everyone was friendly. The river cruise was lovely, saw a lot during that time. It's nice and calm. The boat made sure to stop so we can take a good look and photos of the tomb. The mud bath was cool but quick. There was also a fish spa at the mud bath and a thermal pool for 200lyra per person. The turtle beach was lovely, there were showers and dressing rooms for free and sunbeds are 300lyra but worth it. There's a cafe that served food and cold drinks at the beach. If you want to see the turtles you must spend some time (10-15mins is enough) at the boat. Turtles were really lovely to see. There are also lots of small fishes. The boat trip gives you lunch which was very filling pasta, salad and grilled chicken breast fillet during our trip. Outside drinks were not allowed on the boat but they sell drinks and ice creams which was good and understandable. The tour wasn't expensive at all anyway. The drinks were around €2-4 each, grilled crab and fish were delicious and were extra too for 450lyra each. The boat on the way back was very slow I am not sure why. Bus on the way back was on time and dropped off at hotel too. Great day and good trip.

Lovely day but a couple of downsides! - A lovely day out with very friendly staff!
It was lovely to see the popular sites in the area too!
However, for anyone thinking of booking the experience it is a long day (roughly 11 hours) and you are only able to buy drinks etc from the boat….no food or drink that has been brought yourself can be consumed.
Anyone who is hoping to see a turtle just keep in mind that this is not guaranteed although we were lucky enough to spot one as we were leaving!
Overall it was worth the trip but just a couple of downsides!

Very disappointing - We were sold the idea of a day on a boat with lunch provided, lots of swimming, selfies with turtles, ancient toumbs and a mud bath. Let me tell you the photos make it look much more fun than it really is. We spent the first 4 hours chugging slowly towards the beach with people smoking everywhere and every member of staff available trying to sell everyone absolutely anything they could.
We had a 20 min swim in a bay which might as well have been the same one as in our hotel. After this, they pressured people into buying turtle food for £40! They pressured people into buying an afternoon dinner on board as the lunch provided was laughable and served as early as possible to ensure you were hungry later. They also were targeting the children for photos with a parrot, printing the photos off and asking the children if their parents would buy the photos later - £7 each - special offer of 3 for £25 LOL!
When we eventually got to ‘turtle beach’ we found out that there are only really turtles there in the early months of the year and certainly not an abundance in august! We should have seen this coming really but they really sold this place to us! After seeing no turtles and laughing at the man trying to charge us £10 for 30 mins on a sunbed we made our way back to the boat as our ‘hour’ of swimming was more like 30mins. They almost left one of the families behind on the beach and then proceeded to take us to a spot with one singular turtle surrounded by an army of boats desperately trying to catch a glimpse.
MWe then chugged an hour down the river to the toumbs which were very impressive but we were not given much information and quickly sent on our way for another half hour to dalyan. They marched us to the mud baths and gave us 45 mins there. The showers to remove the mud you have caked into every inch of your body are also freezing despite there being a thermal bath and it took ages to wash off. There were also lots of children screaming about the cold showers so maybe give a miss if you have kids.
We drove an hour and a half back to the ship, and then spent about 3-4 more hours on the way back inhaling other peoples cigarette smoke and being pressured into buying any old random things they could think of.
Overall it was an 11 hour day with less than an hour of swimming, 5 mins of turtles (and that is generous) 10 mins of ruins 45 mins of mud baths and the other 8 hours is spent trapped with a bunch of pushy staff trying to squeeze every last penny out of you.
Would never go again, was kind of cool but would have rather got drunk at the hotel and taken a selfie with some child’s inflatable turtle. If you do go get a private tour or don’t go from marmaris!

Avoid Barkas Boat - Traveled with a boat named Barkas and let me tell you if you want to end the day on a good note and your transport drops you off in front of this boat, turn right back around and ask for a refund.
The trip started off well enough and we had a short swim break, we then moved on heading to turtle beach, again this was fine.
Now is where things get interesting, as we got to the mud baths I asked for a locker or safe place to store valuables as this I was informed priot to the trip would be the case and told no problem! I raised this with a Barkas boat staff member who said just leave it by a bench, in full view of everyone present! As it was a see through water proof bag I informed him that this contained a lot of valuables I would not feel safe leaving out in the open, he kindly offered to hold onto it as we crossed the mudbath which only takes 15 minutes.
Upon my leaving the mudbath, he was gone, likely to the river boats and so I was unable to pay for anything in the gift shop!
Upon reaching the boat a few people were already there waiting, and my bag was there, I immediatly opened it to take out some change to run back to the shop only to find my walled had been cleared of all cash I jad jist withdrawn, thankfully no cards, mobiles or tablet e reader was taken.
I raised this immediatly and the river boat captain said he hadent touched it.
We got back to the Barkas Boat wjere I raised this with their staff, knowing there would be little that can be done bit to raise the issue, I jad also emailed the tour operator about this who responded immediatly.
Now here is my issue, sure my fault for leaving the bag taking a stupid risk, and as the staff here depend on torlurism, I don't believe either the river boat captian stole the money, and upon speaking to the guests who arrived first back on the boat I was informed that the bag was already present left at the front with only the river boat captians son I presume, who served as some sort of entertainment and sails rep selling ice cream and drinks while on rout to and from the mud bath.
Likely he was tempted and took his chance and it paid off, good for him! Anoy8ng though that when someone offers to look after something for you and then leaves it unguarded out in the open, had I know this was the case I would have skipped the mud bath and let the mother and children go.
My problem here is that every where we went people are kind, here, knowing that I had just been robbed of all my cash didn't even offer as little as a bottle of water in this heat to my children. I guess business is business but for me this kills any prospect of ever going on this boat again amd making well sure no one on my circle does. Luckily I jad my digital wallet on my phone and paid for refreshments after moving some funds.
Now we get to the cherry on top, I took the loss on tje chin, a little annoyed but it could of been worse, the phone and tablet were far nore important than the 2000.00 to 3500.00 TL lost.
They brought out a parrot, and all the children ran to it to take photos, my two included, my son was jumping with joy and waited in line, striking tje parrot as it was passed from ha dler to other children, he was pushed aside twice to allow other children to take their photos, when my son was the last one in the line the handler walked away ignoring him.
Not 5 minutes later they send a young boy with parrot photos and photos from the swimming, stop trying to sell them to us, the seiming photos were not proffesionally taken and I had taken better photos with a 10 year old Nikon coolpix AW120. I raised that we wanted parrot photos and my children were shooed away like some dog with rabies and then ignored when they both went up together to ask tje second time.
