Amazing experience with horse - I had an amazing experience riding! I have a fear of horses so it was important and personal to me! The staff were great and a laugh to be around! My horse called horse was such a star over the moon with it
Didn’t feel pressured to buy anything nothing line the negative reviews I have read! All the horses were lovely and in good condition.

Fun but expected bit more - Went here last week we enjoyed our experience but expected more , just a horse ride along a dusty track the bit through the water was Our favourite but that was literally only seconds and felt pushed to buy the pictures. The guys running it were very friendly though and my kids enjoyed the experience

OK, for beginners. - So we booked this through Mares travel. I have absolutely no criticism of Mares travel. They have been really good and in fact we have another trip booked with them. However, they just do the booking. Everything else is run by the tour you are going on. So, for Marmaris Horse Safari. Firstly, it's difficult to tell which company is which on here as several are called the same thing. I have posted photos hopefully to help others in future. We went as a family of four. My kids have not ridden horses for longer than two minutes so this was more for them than us. Not that we're horse people! As people have already said, this is advertised as four hours but you actually only ride for an hour. Its 20ish mins to the ranch, half hour hanging around with a very short safety briefing and then an hour ride. Then a long and arduous sales pitch about photos and the journey home. Disappointingly, we didn't ride together as a family and they didn't take photos of us as a family on the horses. Cynically this is maybe to push you to buy more photos if you only have individual shots? In terms of the actual ride, it lasts an hour, but the majority is along a dusty road. Quite disappointing. I'm not an experienced rider and don't want anything that challenging, but this was very serene and the scenery wasn't much to look at. My kids loved it, but we won't come back. I suspect that the other Horse Safaris out there offer something far better. The only thing I would say is that through Mares travel, the trip only cost £12 per person. I think any more and its not worth it. Just for reference, we did buy the photos and we got them at 1000 Lira for all photos downloaded to our phone. They tried it on woth another family and tried to charge them more for less photos. Another French group didn't buy the photos, but due to a mix up, the ranch put all photos onto my phone. Fortunately the French group were on our bus, so I just sent them their photos for free!! To clarify, you cant takr.your own camera or phone to get pictures. They ensure you lock all your bag, etc, away before leaving the ranch. There is another Safari on TripAdvisor that has a very similar name and 30 reviews and all good. I thought I had booked that one. If you can find that one, its probably better than this one.

Little dissapointed on this one - Left a little dissapointed by this experience. Picked up on time but drove around in a dirty van for about 45 mins trying to find people
Arrived at the even around an hour after being g picked up. Drinks and food to feed horses had to be purchased
Horses were selected and mounted. Horses looked old and haggered. Taken down a few dusty tracks and a small stream. Nothing like the deep water photos in the Ad.
40 mins later it was over and we sat around awaiting their opportunity for an hour for them to sell us some overpriced photos

Never again, poorly looked after - I've don't one of these tours before but not this one in particular. We booked it from an on street vendor and honestly wouldn't recommend.
It's coach pick up but depending which driver you have dictates the type of drive you have.
We had three horses myself and my two children. My son's horse was lame and struggled around the course constantly tripping. The horses looked under fed and generally sorry.
The people there where pretty unwelcoming and there is no way of leaving until they take each family into a private booth to push photographs of your "experience" onto you.

Upsetting, cruel, sad - Friendly and polite staff, but I cannot support a business with such poorly kept horses. I own horses myself back home, and know that none of them should have looked or behaved the way they did. Skinny in their rear end, my horse had blisters/sunburn on him which looked incredibly sore, grown men riding tiny ponies. Horses seemed completely lack of any life and robotically moved in a line like prisoners. I don’t agree with horses being ridden in 35 degree heat on a scorching dirt track by ignorant tourists. I feel really guilty I booked this excursion, if you are an animal lover…. Please don’t book. I felt so disturbed by the condition of the horses that I felt like asking if they were willing to sell a few of them to be rehomed in England with me. Do not book.

Feel so sorry for these horses and ponies. - Wish we had never gone.
Was advised (by one of the many excursion sellers) that the journey would be approx 15 mins away and would be out on the horses for at least an hr and half going through the water and trekking.
It actually took about 50 minutes to get there by the time we had collected other people from hotels and then the driver pulled over on roadside for a good 15 mins without even advising why.
When we arrived we were able to purchase apples/carrots to give to the horses before the ride. Our belonging were left in lockers provided and once we had our hats, our horses were chosen. It was clear the horses need more love and care. They were head shy and had whip mark/slashes on their bodies. Also chains around their back hoofs.
Some horses were clearly lame but we’re still taken out on the ride.
Some riders were way too big for their horses and the poor things were yanked in their mouths by the reins from people having no idea how to ride.
The ride was only about 40 mins and we literally just walked across the river to get to the other side to continue down a dusty track.
Once back, they were all put in a shelter shed (not untracked or sponged down) with no room for them to even move in.
These horses/ponies are clearly just a meal ticket.
We then waited ages for the hit transfer bus to arrive back to pick us up. I’m guessing this was to allow the extra time for them to take us individually into a curtained area and sell on photos from the experience.
There are drinks/ice creams there to purchase.
Wish I hadn’t wasted well over half a day travelling and waiting around with a short ride. Was not nice watching these poor horses sat upon by massive people.

Absolute disappointment and rip off! - Be careful, hands off!! A half-day tour is advertised here. It is a one hour tour though!! The return trip alone takes 1 hour! So a total of 2 hours of driving.
My children and I are absolutely disappointed. It's like pony riding in circles.
When told I booked a half day tour and not a one hour tour it was the fault of the website and they are not responsible.
So the owner blames others.
Mobile phones are of course not allowed, in my opinion not for your own safety but to make a profit and buy the overpriced pictures.
Because the river it is advertised for is just a small "pond" about 4 meters long.
There is no way the mobile phone can fall down if it is well stowed away.
It went at walking pace for an hour. Galloping is absolutely forbidden.
That was something of a letdown. Also the staff and the atmosphere is quite negative. On top of that they wanted to collect tips.
What a cheek !! Save the money and go diving or quad biking rather than the ridiculous "pony rides"
