Spectacular animal spotting - Chris was very knowledgeable and knew exactly where to find the animals. It was full on spotting for crocodiles etc. Well worth the trip.

The Highlight of Our Darwin Stay - We did a 10.30 morning cruise in early July. This was the highlight of our 7 night stay in Darwin. Great value and very well organised. We arranged for a pick up from Corroboree Tavern which cost a very reasonable $10 per head and save the drive on gravel for the hire car. The tour was fantastic. We saw salties and fresh water crocs, water lillies and many birds up close, including brolgas and Jabirus. The commentary was very informative and gave us a great insight into much of the fauna and flora on the river system. We thoroughly recommend this cruise for all ages.

Corroborree Billabong Cruise - Of course, the number one thing you want to see is a saltie, and there were plenty of them. Saltwater crocodiles, buffalo, Black-footed Wallabies and a lot of birdlife were easily seen from our flat-bottomed punt. The cruise guide was an old hand with lots of stories to tell. Very enjoyable!

Big boy salty - We booked the 1.5 hr morning cruise to discover that due to a major accident on the Arnhem Highway stopping participants from Darwin joining the cruise, we had a personal tour with tour guide Chris. Chris was very informative and able to manoeuvre the boat so that we got up close and personal with a 4-5 metre salt water crocodile basking in the sun - what a sight! We also saw some fresh water crocodiles, plenty of birdlife and plant life. We thoroughly enjoyed the cruise and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the region.

See crocodiles up close but in the wild - Chose the Wetland Cruises 1 day Corroboree Billabong Tour. From the pickup (and drop of) from my accommodation, to the bus trip and cruise our tour guide/driver, Connie was a woman of great experience, humour and an amazing knowledge of Darwin and surrounds and the wildlife and fauna of the wetlands. (5+ stars for her). Drove past 'The Boxing Croc' statue at Humpty Doo. First stop Fogg Dam Conservation Reserve where we viewed buffalo, birds and fauna. A sweet mandarin was a nice treat there. On to Corroboree Park Tavern was morning tea (and afternoon tea on return journey) lovely coffee, ice cream or a cold drink. Two crocodiles and buffaloes to see in grounds. A few four trailer road trains to view. Onwards to the main tour highlight - two and a half hour cruise on Corroboree Billabong, as part of Mary River system. Included a nourishing lunch box and plenty of cold water. On a boat almost at water level, Connie showed us the wonders of nature on the billabong, with plenty of stops to view the fauna and wildlife. We saw about 10 crocodiles, buffaloes, wallabies, lizards, a variety of birds including the white bellied eagle seen in flight and on the nest and a variety of fauna including very pretty flowers. Thankyou to Wetland Cruises and Connie for a remarkable day and opportunity to experience nature in the wild

Pack the telephoto lens! - We didn't have a lot of time but wanted to get a small taste of the Territory beyond Darwin - and this was the perfect half-day option. We had breakfast at the Tavern then caught the shuttle, and spent a fantastic 90 minutes on the water. Allan is a friendly, laidback and knowledgeable guide, and made sure that everyone in the boat (about 15 of us) got a chance to see all the highlights. There are no gimmicks or bells and whistles on this cruise - just peaceful gliding about the billabong, seeing and learning about crocs, birds (kites, eagles, jabiru, egrets etc), various flora, etc. I just wish I had taken my telephoto lens to take advantage of the many amazing photo opportunities. Good value - highly recommended.

Best wildlife tour ever! - It was possibly the best cruise ever . The cruise did not include idiotic practices such as making crocodile jump. The tour guide demonstrated a good understanding of the local environment and was able to explain it to travellers in easy to understand language. We felt that the tour operator has a lot of respect for the environment and is proud to be able to share it with tourists and travellers. If you do one thing in the Territory, make sure to take a short cruise with Corroboree Billabong. Please do NOT SUPPORT JUMPING CROCODILE CRUELTY!
