3 day Sahara Trip - My husband and I did the 3 day Marrakech to Merghouza trip. We had an amazing trip, it was truly a once in a lifetime experience that we recommend to everyone. Our driver, Hussain Ford, was one of the highlights of our trip! He told us loads about of information and would point things out along the way. He was very friendly and happy, an amazing driver who handled the winding long roads with ease and made us feel very safe. The accommodations were good and the stops along the way were breathtaking. It is very good value for money! The Sahara was beautiful, and the people are all so kind.

Amazing trip! - Omar our driver was AMAZING! The trip was so fun. The bus was a standard 17 seat van with reasonable space and was comfortable for the experience. The tour is very comprehensive and we saw many things. There is a lot of driving so be prepared for stops about every 2 hours to use the facilities. General notes, the Sahara part, I recommend the luxury tour. Yes, it is more pricey but it is what I imagined the experience to be like. Nice dinner, cozy tent and warm bed and your own bathroom. Other people on my tour did the basic option and had fun, but they told me they were disappointed they could see the city from camp and the communal bathroom was very smelly. I personally could tolerate the smell, but the ambiance at the lux spot was as if you are more in the desert. They also give you the option for about $50 to take a quad back if you don't want to ride the Camel back. Bring cash. Also, bring small bills, as they don't like to break the 200dh that is common. They also offer veg option everywhere you go, just ask. On the rest of the tour, you are encouraged to eat at the stops provided by the driver, but keep in mind they are expensive for Morocco. Around $15/lunch and limited options. Also, wear your seat belt. There are frequent police stops. At every organized tour stop, they try to sell you something from a local. This is customary, but something to anticipate. Would also like to thank Muhammed at Ait Ben Haddou for the excellent tour and his impressive language skills. He loves to talk about being in Game of Thrones season 4 episode 6! Overall, loved the trip and the price was fair in my eyes.

Youssef on the road - Fantastic experience, despite the many hours of travel we were able to safely do all the excursions. We made several stops in between, especially the Canyon. Youssef our driver was a fantastic person accompanying us at every stage, really helpful and professional; he was able to answer all our questions and advised us on experiences. Beautiful walk with camels at sunset including sandboard. I highly recommend quads, adrenaline experience up the dunes. Notice that in the riad on return from the desert there was no running water and they apologized for this.

Desert tour experience made exceptional by our driver - 3 day desert tour was good and we got to experience riding camels, sunset, star gazing and sunrise in the desert. Rahib was our driver for our 3 day desert tour and he was amazing. He was a safe driver and got us to our destinations in a timely manner. He took great care of our group, whether it be to help us organise activities, translate to resolve issues or even teaching us Arabic! Would recommend this tour and especially our driver, Rahib.

Viaje a Marrakech - It was an amazing experience. Driver Agouim was very friendly and helped us in everything. I'd repeat a thousand times. The beautiful desert and the hotel workers very attentive throughout.

An amazing experience 🤩 - Overall, the experience was very positive. We were picked up on time and visited the Atlas Mountains and Ait Ben Haddou without pressure to buy anything. The schedule was flexible, and our guide, Oussein, responded to all our requests. Lunch was not included, but stops were at expensive restaurants with uneven meal quality. Café Restaurant Panorama was particularly disappointing: unprofessional service and flavorless food. Don't. The desert experience was as described and even exceeded our expectations. However, despite our request for sandboarding, the driver made excuses and it never happened.

A trip we would never forget! - We had an amazing time during this trip. From going through the mountains, visiting Aït Benhaddou to the Sahara was something I would never forget. We had such a fun time meeting new friends and learning the culture. It was our first time in Morocco and this tour was great to introduce yourself to the landscape and culture learning about the Berbers. Our driver- Mazozi was brilliant which made the trip even better. Always a smile to his face, friendly and considerate. We learnt a lot about the culture through him, he would also make sure we knew the itinerary so we were never uninformed. The only downside of this tour was the long distances and time in the car and it felt rushed at times. I guess this was a given as it is only a short 3 day tour looping back to Marrakech. But we recommend it otherwise!

Needs some work. - The desert camel ride and luxury camp were a treat. The drivers were both excellent. However, the guides left much to be desired. They were much more interested in selling items from the high priced shops then helping us appreciate the culture. Let's all try to remember that a guide is to offer insights and historical facts not to sell you things that you don't want nor need. The worst part of this trip are the stops at overpriced restaurants with, mediocre at best, food. I would suggest to bring your own food or to cross the street and go to another restuarant. It is not required to eat were they take you and I did not eat at one of the restaurants but my freinds did and they were disappointed. Also, I suggest that Ando give a schedule of how things are going to go because everyone was confused and it was unpleasant to be rushed sometimes and then to be waiting other times. This could be an excellent trip with some adjustments.

Radical driving - Good tour to experience the Sahara. Unfortunately the driving could have gone very bad... The tour itself was quite pleasant. Our Driver / Guide Abdelaali was very attentive and friendly, answering our questions and requests, always with a smile and in English, Spanish, French, so the communication was easy. This type of excursions, without "lunch including" leads to the stops being in points of interest to the agency, but not always the most economical and undoubtedly, some of questionable quality. On average, you spent 13€ per meal. But, and this is very important, maybe due to the tight schedule, maybe due to the route being long for 3 days, the driving was always "close to the bottom" where only in the radar controls one went within the limits and that sometimes thought if it was worth putting life at risk to do the Tour. Yes, more than once I felt that the accident was eminent because the overpasses in the mountain zone, without visibility and in tight curves were normal. I recommend the Tour, it is worth it (for me I expected more from the experience of the show / sleep in the desert) but the fact that I felt my life as well as that of my family in danger leads me to think if, in this country where if there is an accident the hospital / assistance has its limitations , it is worth risking life. Maybe with more time our driver would have had another drive...

Merzouga desert is magic, the trip is a nightmare - The desert experience is undoubtedly stunning and the only part of the trip truly worth it. However, the minibus tour to get there is essentially a scam. All the lunch stops (not included in the price) are actually pre-planned at specific restaurants where the drivers (all drivers) receive a commission for every passenger. The food served is of poor quality, and you’ll pay double what it’s actually worth. Especially the first and the last day it was a disaster. Even when we explicitly requested to stop elsewhere in the same area, our driver refused. Some passengers even opted to skip lunch altogether because of no other options. The organzing tour operator (Ando) is aware and was contacted with no outcome. The driver basically said 50 words in 3 days. Music was being played in the van during all the trip. Additionally, the local guides do not add that much to the trip and will also take you to shops or homes where you’ll be encouraged to buy paintings, scarves and carpets (especially in Ait-Ben-Haddou). The desert camp (standard) was actually pretty decent and the food was good (better than lunch and this says a lot considering that you're in the desert). Being end of november it got pretty cold at night but the tents were comfortable. Toilets ...are toilets in the desert... So "essential" but clean Bottom line: Better if you find another way to visit the Merzouga desert and Ait-Ben-Haddou. I don't understand how this experience can be rated with so many 5 stars reviews
