Day 1: Marrakesh - Aït Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - The Dadès Gorges
On the first day, we depart from Marrakesh at 8am, heading towards Ouarzazate. Along the way, we traverse the breathtaking Atlas Mountains, passing through the stunning Tizi n’Tichka mountain pass, which stands at 2,260 meters high.
Midway through our journey, we will reach the Aït Benhaddou Kasbah, the most impressive fortified city in Morocco and the backdrop for films such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Kingdom of Heaven.
The route then continues to Ouarzazate, where we will visit the Taourirt Kasbah. Following “The Road of a Thousand Kasbahs” towards Skoura, we will cross the Valley of the Roses and finally arrive at the Dadès Gorges, where we will spend the night.
Day 2: Dadès Gorges - Todgha Gorges - Merzouga
After breakfast, we set off towards the Dadès Valley, crossing the incredible Todgha Gorges on the way, where we will stay until lunchtime. Once refreshed, we continue towards Merzouga, passing through the Jorf palm grove, known for producing the best dates, and Erfoud, a village where you can visit a marble workshop.
Upon arriving in Merzouga, we will trade our motor vehicles for camels to venture into the desert and find the Bedouin camp where we will spend the night.
Here, accompanied by the silence of the desert, we will enjoy one of the most authentic dinners in Morocco.
Day 3: Merzouga - Rissani - Alnif - Tazarine - Draa Valley - Agdz - Marrakesh
One of the must-see sights in the desert is the sunrise. After savoring this peaceful moment, we will return to our camels and head to a hotel for a shower and breakfast.
Passing through the Tafilalet palm grove and Rissani village, the origin of Morocco’s ruling Alaouite dynasty, we will arrive at Alnif, where we take the road crossing the Anti Atlas mountain range. Through these remarkable mountain passages, we will reach Tazarine, an important Berber village, N’kob, and finally the Draa Valley with its impressive palm grove.
Crossing the mountain range via the Tizi n-Tinifift pass, which is 1,660 meters high, we will arrive at Ouarzazate, where we will stop for lunch before continuing our journey back to Marrakesh, arriving at your hotel between 8 and 9 pm.
