3 days Berber culture - We made a 3-day tour from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert. Our driver was Agouim, who picked us up on time at the agreed meeting point. Communication was great. He was always in a good mood and very relaxed. He also told us a lot about Berber culture and different places. During the trip there were some nice places. Of course, in between attempts are also made to sell something to tourists, sometimes persistently, which is something to be expected in this country. It is worth knowing the usual prices beforehand and simply practicing negotiating. The highlight was of course the sunset and rise in the Merzouga. All in all a nice trip with very good value for money that we would do again.

Incredibly beautiful! - Once upon a time! Our friendly driver Mohammed took us safely to our destination and sights, a very good, safe driver. The food in the restaurants was good to very good and the small hotel in the mountains so nicely located. The hosts made a spontaneous party when they learned that I turned 50 2 days ago....really incredibly sweet! The individual guides were great and the desert overnight incredible.....we were four. In the group who have booked the luxury camp and the only ones in the camp, the food very good and simply unique the mood ! Booked directly with andotravel, everything was very well organized! Highly recommended !!

Amazing experience overall - I had an amazing time, and I do recognize Ando Travel as a very good quality service provider. They did fulfill everything they proposed on this tour. I've booked the luxury option to me and my wife. Ando Travel did a great job. Great communication, punctual pickup, good vehicle, very polite and caring driver, and an overall well made Itinerary. During the tour we could see other groups, from different companies, that clearly didn't have the same standards. I would like to suggest a few things, but, again, this do not invalidate the excelente service that was provided, and to which I rate with 5 stars. Still, suggestions are: 1. Arrange to have options of hotels, restaurants and extra guides that accept card - I travel a lot and use very few cash. Marrakech is a challenge already, but on the tour it was a nightmare. I almost had no cash with me, and it was horrible to not be sure if you'll be able to pay for a lunch because it's on a cash only establishment. 2. The Luxury Camp does not provide complimentary water - again, a luxury camp, for which I've paid 70Eur per person, on the middle of Sahara desert, does not provide complimentary water for you to drink. You have to pay, and obviously, it's a cash only establishment. I've got there after 1h40 on Camel Ride, the water we had for the ride was over, and we were absolutely thirsty. We asked for water on the moment we arrived and were immediately informed that it was charged extra, cash only. We had no cash at all at this point. A person of the group paid for us (and I'm not sure what would've been the solution if she hadn't), but it was bizarre and almost offensive to us that we had paid a good extra money before, to ride for 1h40 on a camel, on the sahara desert, to not be welcomed with water on our luxury camp. 3. Restaurants - as it is a standard practice on tourism, and I do not blame Ando Travel for it, the stops were on considerably pricey establishments. Anyone who had been to morocco can recognize this. But some of them, specially the Cafe on first day, should be a lot better. This Cafe was the worst stop, as the food was horrible, pricey, and obviously, it was a cash only establishment. I gave the bill i had (a high amount bill) for a horrible, old croissant, and I received as change a mix of Euros, Dihans and Pounds. For real, I received three different currencies, mixed in several coins with different values, and honestly, I have no idea if I don't think I got the correct change, but there was a line of other vans waiting for this only cashier and I did not want to cause problem on other people's tours. This stop, more than any of the others, should be elsewhere, specially because, on our van, almost no one had breakfast, as the tour starts early. 4. More efficient Itinerary - This one is specifically about the shop stops. Again, I do understand that this is a standard in the tourism industry, every tour agency, everywhere in the world does this way and have arrangements with the stores. I do not blame Ando for this. But on the first day, a person of our group was feeling ill and almost fainted on ben haddou village. It was very very hot (June), and after we walked a lot, we stopped on the shop to buy scarves. It took forever and she was starving (after the horrible breakfast stop). We should have gone to the restaurant faster. On the second day it was a little worse. We had our stop on Tingir, and we went to a carpet store. I have to recognize the high standards of the presentation, very well done, on an impeccable English, and It was not uncomfortable for the people who not bought carpets (like me). But honestly, it took too long. We were there for 1h40 hour total. This cost us a lot on our Itinerary, and (although it was a windy day, and we had to wait before our camel ride), we just got to our camp at 21h. To be on the desert was the purpose (and the title) of the tour. We were there from 21h to 7am. 10 hours total, not considering that is necessary to sleep during these hours. I honestly felt that we should have got there earlier, and the time spent on a carpet store sounded to me as inappropriate long. Again, I do reinforce that most of the points that I signaled are present on every other companies, but Ando provided such a great service that it sounded to me that it could go above and beyond of the industry standards and be perfect with these little adjustments.

Round trip Sahara Drive - Our driver Houssein (drives a Ford) was amazing! He drove us on every leg of the trip. He was very kind and patient with us throughout the trip and made a great effort to communicate with us despite the language barrier. Couldn’t have asked for a better driver.

Wonderful Taste of Morocco - For anyone wanting to experience Morocco outside of a major city, I highly recommend this tour. We stopped to explore Air Ben Haddou, Tinghir, Todgha Gorge, and Erg Chebbi, in addition to making a lot of photo and rest stops. All of the guides were locals and were incredibly knowledgeable and helped introduce us to the various Berber cultures and life-styles. The Sahara sand dunes of Erg Chebbi was a highlight. We didn't travel very far into the dunes, but we went far enough to feel emersed and you could pay extra to drive an ATV in the morning out I to the desert. Worth every penny! Our driver, Mazouzi Youssfe, was fantastic! My friend got sick and had to stay behind for the second day of the trip in the hotel that we stayed at the first night. Mazouzi and the family who ran the hotel were amazingly kind to us, making sure my friend was attentively taken care of. Another couple on this trip left a purse at a previous stop and Mazouzi helped arrange for it to be brought to our location. Mazouzi was a calm, competent presence in the face of any crisis that we faced. I would recommend this trip to anyone and everyone!
