Family trek which was a highlight - This was the highlight of our trip to Morocco. Coming from Marrakech, I had some reservations about the heat and safety for our small children but once up in the mountains everything was perfect. The trekking was full of an amazing views, the food was outstanding and the extra mile to help the kids when they were tired was a huge hit. Would love to come again one day. I’m

Family trek - Amazing organisation tailor made for our needs and schedule the kids loved it and having the option of a mule meant they could have a break from walking when needed. We all loved it. The guide and cook couldn’t have been better - so kind friendly. One of our best ever holidays

Magical experience in the Atlas mountains - What a magical experience, the guys were very thoughtful on what we wanted and customized the expierence to best fit our desired experience. Our guide was Ibrahim and he was always making sure we were having a good time, we learned a lot from him. The food is incredible, there is no way to describe with words how delicious it was, and very customized to our vegetarian needs. You won't be hungry in this expierence! The location is magical, stunning landscapes that will take your breath away. Overall an incredible experience you won't forget.

Great and warm experience - We took a 3 day trip with mother and son through the villages. Rachid and Ahmid (guide and cook) took very good care of us. We had great meals (incl. vegetarian) and a great trip (even though it was ramadan). Rachid speaks very good English so we learned a lot about Moroccan culture and the mountains. He is also a very good guide, and also very flexible as we wanted more kilometers than offered. He was very pleased to do so. Accomodation in the villages was basic (as mentioned), but there were piles of blankets to keep us warm.

Berber village trek - I really can't recommend Lahcen and his team highly enough. We were a group of three: a middle aged couple and our thirteen year old daughter, undertaking a three day trek across the mountains and between Berber villages with the help of Hamid the guide, another Hamid the cook, and a mule. We can honestly say that we loved every minute of the trip. Following excellent, clear and responsive communication and instruction in advance, the trek was meticulously planned from the moment we were picked up in Marrakesh. The trek is superbly designed to ensure that you walk through the most stunning and often remote landscapes, visit interesting villages, eat in wonderful spots, and sleep in great locations. The planning is such that you are not undertaking ascents in too much direct sun, and the challenge builds over the three days so you have time to acclimatise and build strength. The attention to detail is amazing and we felt that the Hamids responded to our capabilities and waxing and waning energies perfectly. Hamid was a fantastic cook and we had three wonderful meals a day including both hot lunch and dinner. It was the best food we had throughout our time in Morocco and there was great variety, which is incredible given that lunches were cooked in the wild. Hamid was also really imaginative in dealing with our different dietary requirements. Hamid the guide spoke brilliant English and because he is so knowledgable about the area having been born and brought up there he was able to answer every question we threw at him and we learned a huge amount. And Hamid the cook helped us to eat some wild food along the way! We were really sad when the trek ended and missed the Hamids for the rest of our time in Morocco. Lahcen himself is wonderful and has built a really impressive and friendly operation so I am sure that every trip he offers will be of the highest standard. We will certainly be going back to him next time we are in Morocco. If you have a reasonable level of fitness you should not hesitate to undertake the three day trek that we chose. If not, I am sure Lahcen will find something appropriate - his approach and that of his team is to ensure those that join them have the best possible experience and that it meets their interests and abilities. Thanks so much from all three of us to Lahcen, the Hamids, and the mule. We love you all!

Great Tour - I really enjoyed my tour in the Atlas mountains. The scenery and landscape of the mountains was breathtakingly stunning. We walked at a pace which was comfortable for everyone. I can not fault the standard of food which was served, and more importantly, I never felt hungry throughout the duration of the tour. As I enjoyed the trek so much I have booked another tour to climb the Toukbal in May 2020. Thank you to Lachfen and the team at Moroccan Mountain Guides.

Amazing Solo Trek - Took a risk and booked this tour on my own, was obviously apprehensive about going to Morocco on my own but this tour was absolutely amazing and one of the best experiences of my life. My guide Abdul was brilliant, spoke great English and was completely fine to walk at the pace i wanted to and was fine with taking breaks and taking photos for me. He answered all my questions about the Berber people/ way of life and the mountains. The mountains are absolutely beautiful, some of the best views i've ever seen. We also visited the waterfall on the last day which was really cool but did add on an extra 2 hours to the trek (worth it) I have never been so overfed in my life by Hamid the cook! I was served portions for 2 or 3 people with every meal of the nicest Moroccan food imaginable, huge salads, Tagine, cous cous, meatballs and lots of Mint Tea and coffee! The trek itself was easy on the first day but quite challenging for the second and third day, be sure to bring decent walking boots/trainers, some of the terrain is quite tricky and plenty of sleep descents. The accommodation is extremely rustic and simple, be warned there is no toilet or shower in the guesthouse in Tinzert! Bring hand sanitizer or your own soap! The guesthouse in Tizi Oussem is a lot better with a shower and decent toilet facilities. Would definitely do this tour again and strongly thinking about coming back next year to do the Toubkal mountain trek. If i could change one thing it would be to make the first day of trekking longer, we only walked for around 2.5 hours and then had all afternoon and evening with nothing to do in Tinzert.
