Marrakech - Ait Benhaddou - Ouarzazate - Dades Gorges

Medina of Marrakesh - We will pick you up from your hotel in Marrakech at 7:30 AM and head towards Ait Benhaddou, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m). Visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou and enjoy lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will drive to Ouarzazate, stopping near the Atlas Film Studios for a photo opportunity, and then continue to the city center for a panoramic view of the Kasbah of Taourirt. Afterward, you will proceed to Boumalne du Dades for an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Tizi n Tichka - Tizi n’Tichka is a mountain pass in Morocco that connects the southeast of Marrakesh to the city of Ouarzazate through the High Atlas Mountains. It is situated above the vast Marrakesh plains and serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert.

Ait Ben Haddou - At midday, you will arrive at the renowned fortified city of Ait Ben Haddou, a former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech. Our local official guide will take you around the kasbah, allowing you to travel back in time. The Ksar of Aït-Ben-Haddou is a remarkable example of southern Moroccan architecture and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has also been the setting for numerous Hollywood productions, including The Mummy, Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Babel, Game of Thrones, Vikings, and many more.

Boumalne Dades - Our journey continues through the scenic canyons of Boumalne Dades, passing the Valley of Roses and stopping at our local accommodation in the Gorges Dades Valley. Enjoy a traditional dinner followed by the rhythmic beats of Berber drums.

Dades Gorges - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert Erg Chebbi

Todgha Gorge - After an early breakfast in the Dades Gorges area, we will head to the Todgha canyons, navigating through the multi-colored walls of the gorges. The Todra Gorge is one of the world’s most impressive canyons, with rock formations reaching up to 500 meters and stretching 160 km (100 mi) from Ouarzazate to the east of Tineghir. The winding roads offer stunning views of the gorge and historic kasbahs. After a locally made lunch amidst the beautiful rocky cliffs, we will continue our journey, passing old Berber villages and stopping at major viewpoints to take in the majestic landscapes. You will also have the opportunity to explore the beautiful oasis in Tinghir. Our journey then continues through the red-colored walls of ancient valleys, also known as the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs.

Day 3 Erg Chebbi - Merzouga - Marrakech

Merzouga Desert - Today, prepare for an early sunrise camel ride in Erg Chebbi before meeting your guide. We will drive back to Marrakech through the volcanic landscapes of the Anti Atlas Mountains to the village of Nkob. Once in Ouarzazate, feel free to ask your driver to stop at the film studios if you wish. You can have lunch at your leisure in the city center. Early in the afternoon, we will continue our drive, crossing the High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi Ntichka pass. Your private 3-day desert trip from Merzouga to Marrakech will conclude in Marrakech City by mid-afternoon after an 8-hour drive.
