So much more than a cooking class - This was our first trip to Morocco and our time at Amal Association was a highlight. The women who taught us how to cook (I wish I'd remembered to write their names down so I'd remember them to thank them properly!) were so generous with their time and with sharing their expertise - it was such a stress-free, fun experience. And getting to pick fresh herbs from the garden for the tea ceremony was a thrill! But more importantly, it was wonderful to learn about the work Amal Association is doing to empower women in Marrakech and beyond. It was a much-needed perspective after the chaos and tourist-saturated experience we had for much of our time in Marrakech. This was much more intimate, very focused on human connection and sharing a personal experience. Highly recommend!

Fantastic - could not recommend more! - The cooking class was totally amazing!!! I was blown away by the food, the beautiful crockery, the hospitality, the beautiful herb garden, and the traditional tea ceremony! Plus we met one of the sweetest kittens ever. All this to support a wonderful cause empowering Moroccan women to escape a vicious poverty cycle and become economically independent. 10/10 would recommend for anyone who likes cooking or is interested in traditional Moroccan food! I would definitely look to visit again (maybe to do the baking class) if I ever travel back to Marrakech in the future!

One of the best experiences in Morocco ever! - The experience is amazing. The hosts, the chefs, the recipes, were remarkable. It's a true statement of the Moroccan cuisine and culture, in an amazing institute, made with love and the strength of those incredible women there. Everything was divine, we can't recommend more! The cooking class, the tea experience, the gardening and harvesting for herbs, the stories of all those women. It's fabulous to be able to help and we totally also recommend going to have lunch or dinner in their restaurant at Gueliz. Amal is a great institute, with a beautiful mission.

A morning dedicated to sharing and good humor - We had an excellent time within this association. A beautiful moment of sharing. We learned how to make chicken couscous and lamb tagine. The morning ended with mint tea and we tasted our creations. It was a great experience and great encounters.

Laid back and fun morning in the kitchen! - The morning we spent at Amal was such a treat! The kitchen and herb garden were so peaceful and idyllic and everyone involved in the class was warm, supportive, and informative. Our finished tagine was delicious and it was a lot of fun to share the meal and tea ceremony with a fun group of other guests. Our taxi from Kasbah was 150 MAD and an easy and pleasant drive.

Not only cooking, far more - We really enjpoyed our time at Amal: we spent the morning preparing cous cous (from scratch) and also seeing other participants preparing different kind of tajines and the had lunch together. Ladies there are fabulous and the project is amazing. We felt at home. While the dishes were cooking we visited the garden and picked herbs for the tea ceremony. Definitely an experience I recommend and would do again when in Marrakesh. Thanks all.
