Atlas Mountains View - At approximately 8:00 am, the driver will collect guests from their Riad/Hotel in Marrakech. The private 4-day tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert begins, heading towards Dades Valley. The journey across the Tizi n’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains offers a passage through stunning Berber villages that harmonize with the landscape. This route is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views and numerous Amazigh villages, where one can observe authentic Moroccan life.
Ksar of Ait-Ben-Haddou - The tour continues to Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, famously featured in Hollywood films like ‘Lawrence of Arabia,’ ‘Gladiator,’ ‘Kingdom of Heaven,’ ‘Prince of Persia,’ and more. Dades Gorges - On the second day of the 4-day itinerary from Marrakech, the tour continues after a traditional delicious breakfast. The drive takes guests through roads lined with ancient Kasbahs and many attractive Berber villages at the Dades Canyon. The amazing scenery along the way includes fortified villages that hosted caravan roads until the early 20th century.
Tinghir - The tour heads to Todra within a 15 km breathtaking valley full of palm trees. Tinghir, nestled in the High Atlas, offers a blend of history and charm. Guests can explore traditional Berber architecture in its narrow streets. Just beyond, Todra Oasis unfolds with lush palms, mudbrick villages, and the stunning Todra Gorge. Visitors can immerse themselves in Morocco’s natural and cultural wonders in this serene haven.
Todgha Gorge - Todra Gorge, a natural wonder in Morocco, enchants with its towering limestone cliffs and a narrow canyon carved by the Todra River. The dramatic rock formations create a breathtaking spectacle, drawing visitors to wander through its cool, shaded passages. A haven for nature lovers and adventure seekers, Todra Gorge offers a unique blend of awe-inspiring landscapes and a tranquil escape in the heart of Morocco.
Merzouga Desert - The tour continues to Merzouga and the majestic Erg Chebbi dunes. Guests will enjoy a 1.5-hour camel ride excursion to reach the authentic Sahara Desert camp. During the camel trek, there will be a break in the middle of the dunes to enjoy the wonderful sunset and try sandboarding if interested. Guests can take pictures and enjoy the scenery. After the sun sets, the camel trip continues to the camp where guests are welcomed with a glass of mint tea. At the camp, guests will enjoy Berber music, a campfire, a starry sky, dinner, and an overnight stay under a nomadic desert camp in the middle of Merzouga sand dunes.
MERZOUGA DESERT – 4x4 Tour Khamlia - RISSANI – Merzouga
Merzouga - On the third day of the trip, guests will wake up early to enjoy the sunrise (optional) camel trek over Erg Chebbi sand dunes. After breakfast in the camp, the tour heads back to Merzouga center from the desert camp by 4WD vehicle or camel ride, depending on the guest’s choice.
Erg Chebbi - The 4x4 tour through the Erg Chebbi desert allows for an exciting and authentic exploration of the dunes. During this experience, guests will visit a nomadic settlement to learn about their traditional lifestyle, customs, and hospitality. Additionally, the tour includes a visit to the village of Khamlia, known as the “village of the blacks,” inhabited by descendants of slaves from Mali. Here, guests will enjoy a Gnawa music concert, a unique tradition in the region. This 4x4 adventure offers a deep cultural immersion in the heart of the desert.
Rissani - Rissani, a historically and culturally rich city, is known as the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Merzouga Desert - After completing the tour of Rissani, upon returning to Merzouga in the afternoon, travelers can enjoy various activities before retiring to the hotel. A popular option is a walk through the Erg Chebbi dunes, taking advantage of the magical light of the sunset that paints the desert in golden hues. Guests can also relax on the hotel terrace with a cup of mint tea while watching the sunset over the Sahara horizon.
For the more adventurous, a quad or buggy ride through the dunes can be arranged. Another interesting activity is attending a live traditional Berber music performance at the hotel, where guests can enjoy the rhythm of the drums under the stars.

Merzouga - After an early breakfast at the hotel, the journey back to Marrakech begins. The tour continues to Ouarzazate through the Todra and Dades valleys, with a stop in Kelaat Megouna for lunch.
High Atlas Mountains - The journey continues to the red city of Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass. On the slopes of the mountains, guests will see amazing Berber villages and farms that blend in with the landscape.
Marrakech - Arrival in Marrakech
Finally, the tour arrives in Marrakech in the afternoon or evening. The red city welcomes guests with its vibrant atmosphere and unique energy.
