Honeymoon - My wife and I spent a part of our 2 week honeymoon in Morocco and I could not have been more satisfied. We spent the week with Azzedine and he was truly amazing. He helped us plan this trip from start to finish and ensured everything we wanted to cover on the trip was done. Driving in Morocco is something I would not recommend, especially coming from Canada or the US - so having Azzedine drive us to each of our destinations was great. He made us feel safe throughout the trip, was charismatic and fun to talk to on our drives. If you don’t go with Azzedine on your trip, you’re not doing it right.
Destinations:
We visited Marrakesh, the Sahara desert, Fes, and chefchaouen. All destinations were amazing and each had their unique story to offer. However, I enjoyed the desert the most and I would definitely recommend spending AT LEAST two nights here (we stayed one due to time). The Sahara desert was amazing, we went atving, camel riding and stayed in a tent in the desert over night. Again, Azzedine helped us plan this whole experience and I can’t wait to come back and explore other parts of Morocco, with Azzedine as our tour guide.
Food:
Why visit another country without trying their cuisine? Food in Morocco was amazing and Azzedine was able to show us the local spots that were not only cost efficient but some of the best food we had while our trip.
If you are on the fence about visiting Morocco, please jump over and make the trip. It has exceeded every expectation I had and with a knowledgeable and friendly tour guide - you can’t go wrong.

Travel through Morocco - We travelled to Morocco under the guidance of Azzedine. From the get go, he made us feel very safe and took all of the stress out of figuring out the country from the start. We had a certain budget during the trip and he managed to set us up in places all across Morocco which were both fantastic and cost effective. We first went to Casablanca and freshened up. Despite Morocco being a very meat forward country, he was able to find various spots to accommodate my wife’s vegetarian diet. Azzedine consistently catered towards this for us throughout the trip. Next we explored Casablanca a little more and then travelled to Rabat and spent a little time there before travelling to Chefchaouen. The people in all three cities were super welcoming, friendly and communication was never a problem. Chefchaouen was particularly warm and welcoming. This city was filled with very good energy and the hotel set up by Azzedine was one of the best I’ve ever been to. From here, we left to Fez and spent the night there. Fez was a very market heavy place. You may do your shopping here, but keep in mind that they will price gouge you when they know you are a tourist. It is very important to bargain. We did quite a bit of shopping while there and our guide around the city was very knowledgeable and patient. I was very disappointed that the world’s oldest university was off-limits to the general public and non-muslim people, but we viewed it from the gate entrance. It is important to be careful while in Fez as many people will try to “help you” for tips. From Fez, we took the scenic route towards the Sahara desert. This was the highlight of our trip, by far! While we were unable to travel by camel through the Sahara, we did get to ATV through the desert for ~1 hour before travelling to our campsite. The Sahara was amazing and the campsite we stayed at was very hospitable! Salem and his team cooked us beautiful food, performed amazing music and chatted with us until late in the evening. This is a must do event while in Morocco. After the Sahara, we got to visit how the Native people survive and farm around the Sahara dessert. Azzedine showed us around how the natives lived. Azzedine set up a 5 star hotel for us to stay at where we had the entire castle to ourselves. From here, we traveled across the Atlas mountains and visited various locations on our way to Marrakech. When in Marrakech, Azzedine set us up with the best hotel I’ve ever been in. As this was our anniversary trip/honeymoon, we asked for a very nice hotel for the end of our trip and Azzedine did not disappoint. For our anniversary dinner, he provided us with multiple dinner reservations to accommodate my wife’s vegetarian diet. While in Marrakesh, he was always ready and available to take us anywhere and everywhere. Many times, he would simply be waiting for us outside of our hotel for long periods of time to take us anywhere at a moment’s notice. One of our final requests was to set up a hot air balloon ride while in Marrakesh. Azzedine constantly made sure that the experience would be most enjoyable and safe for us. We were finally able to set this up with a small group the morning before our flight. From here, Azzedine took us to the airport on time.

A trip to remember: From luxury stays, cultural experience to earthquake! - I along with my wife took the trip to Morocco on Sep 1-Sep 9. We were pleasantly surprised by how the trip was planned and executed, all thanks to Azdine. We did not have to worry about even a small thing as everything from hotels to cars to a local tour guide was all arranged by Azdine who is really an awesome person and a very knowledgeable guy.
We started our trip from Fez. He received us at the airport and took us to the Riad Fez Mahal. The owner (Firdous) took care of us made us feel at home there and we had an amazing stay there. Also a big thanks to Mustafa, our local tour guide of Fez, a very knowledgeable person and a thorough gentleman. He took us to all the tourist places as well as the ones of historical significance. Anybody who wants to visit Fez, should do it with Mustafa. When we were walking on the street of Fez, it felt like we were walking with a celebrity as everyone on the street knew Mustafa and came to greet him. He took us to places where porcelain and Tazine are made as well as the manual tanning of leather is done but he never made us buy stuff from anywhere. A lot of shop owners kept asking Mustafa to take us inside, but he never did that. He made sure that we experienced Fez in more depth and he took us to places to buy things only when we asked explicitly.
From there we went to the desert through the Atlas mountains all passing through the places of fossil hills, dates garden to Merzouga. The hotel arranged by Azdine was one of a kind which opened directly at the sand dunes at the back. There we also met with the African tribe who live there and we could enjoy a wonderful culture.
From there, we went for a one-day stay to the most memorable part of the trip which was in the luxury tents. Now we can say that we took a shower in the desert. The amazing and lovely atmosphere, everything well taken care of by the two brothers Mohammed and Salim was a stay to remember. From playing bongos at night to celebrate my wife's birthday to watching the Milky Way galaxy. The stay was made more luxurious by Salim who was the owner as well as a gourmet chef. He treated us with such amazing cuisines that it was beyond explicable. From there, we went through the Atlas Mountains again to Dades Gorge.
On our way to Marrakesh, we were lucky to see the city of Mareen(Game of Thrones enthusiasts will know what I am talking about) the arena where Game of Thrones, Gladiator, and The Mummy were shot. Lovely place.
From there we reached Marrakesh. They also Azdine arranged a local guide for us (I am forgetting his name) but was a lovely experience. He also took us for lunch with a local family where we met this wonderful boy Haytam. It was a wonderful stay and an actual cultural experience that I and my wife were looking forward to having in Morocco.
The biggest highlight of the trip was the last night. The night of 8th September, Marrakesh was hit by a huge earthquake which unfortunately killed a lot of people. We were right at Jemaa el-Fnaa square when it happened. We saw the tragedy through our own eyes. We were lucky that we were not hurt but what happened in the aftermath was of course worth mentioning. Azdine, although the trip was over as next day we were supposed to fly back to Germany, never left our side that night. Due to the earthquake, we were not sure if it is safe to stay in our riad as we were not aware of the damages, so we thought of going to the airport. Unfortunately, the airport was also shut down because of some damage inside, so we had to stay in the parking lot. I cannot explain the humility of this gentleman, Azdine, who just gave us his car so my wife and I could rest a bit and he was just roaming around casually chatting with other people like us for THE WHOLE NIGHT. Although he had to drive back to Fez to his family, without resting for the whole night he stood with us so we didn't face any problems. When the airport opened up in the morning at 7 he made sure that we went in. Only after that did he leave Marrakesh to Fez.
With Azdine, it never felt like we were with someone unknown but it felt like we were actually traveling with our own family only.
Any number of words cannot explain how grateful we are to have found Azdine to see this beautiful country of Morocco.
As Azdine always say, he plans all his trip like a mission and it can be seen clearly in the places that he took us, the stays he arranged from hotels to the lunch with the local family. He is not a typical tourist guide who takes you to touristic places only and makes you buy stuff from expensive places. He took us to actual places of history and culture but also made sure that we didn't miss any tourist experience.
And not only that, he stood with us in times of crisis like a thorough gentleman and a great friend.
This trip for me and my wife was the most memorable one.
All thanks to Azdine. Also a big hug to Hamza, Azdine's friend whom we met on our way who was going around with another family but a cool guy.
Thanks and lots of love from Germany

We are coming back Morocco and this time we are bringing our kids! - This was a families/couples trip and I am so glad we did this specific tour that included a guide. Azzedine was so great to work with and he speaks perfect English. He took care of all the details, we felt safe, secure and we never worried if we were being fleeced by the local shop owners because he is from Fes and speaks both Berber and Arabic. We are already planning another trip back and this time we will bring our children with us. I personally cant wait to show them all of the amazing colors, sounds and smells of the Medina in Marrakech. They will love riding a camel into the sunset of the Sahara Desert, the beautiful gardens, Palaces, and especially seeing the place where Gladiator was filmed (The Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou). Morocco is a magical place and we had the trip of a lifetime. Azzedine will make sure you come as guests but leave as family.

An Unforgettable Trip across Morocco - Culture/Nature/History - My wife & I (🇨🇦/🇨🇳) did the 6 day Morocco Private Tour (Marrakesh-Dades-Merzouga-Fez-Chefchouen-Casablanca) in Dec 2022 with Azdine and will be recommending this trip to all of our friends & family for years to come.
Here's why:
- Trust & deep respect for Azdine, our tour guide, driver, & patient companion as we drove across (almost) the entire country traversing mountains to deserts to valleys and urban jungles. We felt safe and relaxed, in large part due to his easy-going nature and strong sense of responsibility for our safety. He was always reliable, flexible, and had a get-sh*t-done attitude, which could only be summarized as "competent and chill".
- Morocco is an incredibly fascinating & diverse country with growing infrastructure & support for global tourism, especially now in 2022. Coming in, our "Western" conception of Morocco was "exotic", "Marrakesh", and "spices & lamps". This tour opened our eyes to so much more - from the diversity of people and landscapes to witnessing the spectrum of modernization & globalization in a region seeped in so much rich culture & history.
- Accommodations & amenities were very clean and comfortable. A highlight was staying 2 nights in traditional tents in the Sahara Desert - with plumbing, full showers, and incredible gastronomic dinners. My wife is very picky about cleanliness, and we're happy to say that all our accommodations passed the test.
All this is to say that Morocco is more than ready for tourism and this country should be the top of everyone's bucket list. If you're looking for an authentic, personalized, and human experience of Morocco, we'd highly recommend Morocco Classic Tours. In fact, we're already planning a trip for our parents in the near future!
