Unforgettable Agafay Desert Adventure - We had the best experience with Tarik. We did this tour on 10/10/2024, having booked through Tripadvisor. Once booked, you receive a contact number for the tour operator, who is very helpful. They confirm pick-up times with you. The pick-up was on time, and we got into a nice, air-conditioned minivan. We were part of a small group (15-20 people). Tarik was very friendly, getting everyone to introduce themselves and handing out bottles of water. Our first stop was a Women’s Cooperative, where we were served Moroccan tea and listened to a woman explain how argan oil is made. She also told us about how it’s used in hair and skincare products, as well as in foods. We had the chance to try samples of everything, which were all lovely. At the end, you’re given the option to browse and buy products, but there was no pressure to do so. We then hopped back on the bus to the Agafay Desert. After a short drive, we arrived at the location for the camel ride. The animals looked well cared for, and we enjoyed a 20-minute ride. My only concern was that the camels were tied very closely together, with each one’s face tied to the rear of the camel in front. A bit more rope between them would have seemed kinder. However, overall it was an enjoyable experience. Afterward, we had more Moroccan tea while Tarik shared some information about the animals and Marrakesh. There was also a photo opportunity on a hill with beautiful desert views. Next, it was time for the 1-hour quad bike ride. We were provided with hairnets, helmets, and eye masks. After a short safety briefing, we followed the tour guide through the desert, drifting through sandbanks and over some rocky terrain. It was fast-paced and a lot of fun. We stopped at the top of a hill to watch the sunset and take some more photos. Then we got back on the quads and rode into the night with headlights. We finished the quad tour at the location where we would have dinner and a show. Tarik met us as we got off the quads, walked us in, and found us a table. He was very attentive, always checking in — asking how the quad ride was, explaining the evening plans, and seeing if we needed anything or had any questions. He brought us more Moroccan tea and a large bottle of water. Dinner began with Moroccan soup, followed by a main course of Moroccan chicken, couscous with caramelised onions, and roasted vegetables. The portions were generous, and the food was delicious. We were served more tea after dinner, followed later by fresh fruit: banana and pomegranate. During dinner, we watched staff members celebrate birthdays with drums, maracas, and a lovely song and dance, which felt very cultural. After that, there was an optional dance party, where everyone was jumping and enjoying the great atmosphere. The evening ended with a fantastic fire show — the perfect way to conclude a perfect day. All in all, the tour was extremely reasonably priced. Considering everything that was included, we certainly felt like we’d got a bargain. I would absolutely recommend this tour — a wonderful way to experience the culture of Marrakesh.

AN EVENING, AMAZING - A great experience from the moment we were picked up. Quite a gastronomic surprise, where we could taste typical Moroccan food. Accompanied by traditional performance and music. The group of musicians made us interact and thus participate in the culture of the country. Not forgetting the camel ride. All this was supervised by Imrane, who was constantly watching every detail. Making possible an insurmountable evening. We will repeat Thanks for everything. See you soon.
