Camel ride with Hammza - Wow what an experience! Our tour guide Hammza couldn’t do enough for us from picking us up from our resort right on time to letting us go on our camel ride right at sunset just to ensure he could take the best pictures for us! He even ensured we had water the entire time and had plenty of food which is all included. I would definitely do this again on our return to Marrakech!

There was a long wait for... - There was a long wait for the camel ride at sunset. We could have been picked up later. Approximately 3 hours. But it was worth it as only my daughter and I went on it. The food and show were great. A long day so be prepared for hanging around.

Excursion to Agafay - A highly recommended experience. We chose camel ride with dinner and show and it was wonderful that the camp had a pool. It was very good atmosphere and very relaxing.

Nice. - For the price the experience is not bad at all. You can’t expect anything incredible. The ride on the camel does not last even 10 minutes and we had to wait a little until the show. You have to be careful because there is no quad included. So if you wanted to do quad you have to book with another offer because otherwise you are obliged to pay more and expensive on site.

Good dinner, lot of down time - This was an ok experience for us. The tour bus was at @15 capacity so it was cramped, u comfortable and a little warm. We were picked up at 3:10 pm. After picking up other passengers and doing the obligatory argon oil stop at the women’s coop, we arrived in the Agafay desert campsite a little after 5. We had a 20 minute camel ride which was fine. Part of our group, however, signed up for the camel ride and the ATV ride. We sat and waited at the camp for almost two hours for those in the ATV tour to do the ATV and camel ride. There was a pool there (which isn’t well publicized in the ad). We stuck our feet but didn’t go in as we didn’t bring swimsuits and didn’t want to go in. There was a bar where you could purchase drinks. There was a flavorless soup for an appetizer, but the chicken tagine was very good. We weren’t served dinner until almost 8 pm (when I asked the tour guide earlier when would we return to Marrakech she said by 9 pm). There was a Moroccan quartet that went around and played music and tried to get people involved but they were soliciting tips. Then after sunset a guy came out and did some tricks with fire for maybe 15 minutes. The tour guide was nice but there was no commentary or history given about anything. We were dropped off near our riad about 10:30 pm. I would say the event is a good value for the money. It was great if you do the ATV camel ride combo. However, if you just want the camel ride and see the desert (which is not sandy like Sahara but very rocky dirt), you may want to consider whether it is worth 7 hours of your time.

Subpar food and experience - The tour guide not that friendly. They basically pick you up and drop you off and leave you unattended while they socialize with their own friends. There is no interaction to take pictures etc. The camel ride is 15 mins max. I would suggest booking close to sunset because the show runs late and the food is not that great. Dinner is served around sunset as well. The driver is also very wreck less , overtaking cars the entire ride back to the drop off location.

Chaotic and not as advertised - Poor communication during the trip . Chaotic when we arrived for the camel ride . We were not informed we would have to wait around while others in the group did quad bikes for an hour . Camel ride was 20 mins long and then we were just left by a pool and the marquee where dinner was for over 2 hours without any communication and seems our guide had left the site . Inclusions state camel ride at sunset ours was 5pm and no camels rides at sunset happened . We were picked up just after 3pm which was earlier than advertised . The dinner was stated as being under the stars at a desert camp and nomadic entertainment around a campfire . This was really a marquee and there was no campfire . We were offered one small bottle of water with diner only . The fire show lasted around 10 mins and we were not told when it was happening or when it moved to the desert . All in all I wouldn’t recommend this trip at all
