Fantastic Atlas Mountains 3 day trip - We did the 3 day trip from Marrakesh to Imlil and the Berber Villages. The views were beautiful and the food was delicious. We booked our trip last minute but these guys were able to accommodate us no problem. Our guide for most of the trip - Driss - was a local, who was knowledgeable, able to be flexible, and made us at ease. He offered multiple routes for a bit of flexibility for different skill levels. He even helped my partner pull out needles from his hand (and the rest of him) when he fell on a cactus - ouch! Some of the best food we had in Morocco was on this excursion, with lots of vegetables in the mountain tagines. There is the equivalent of a private chef - Omar - up in the mountains and a mule to carry any heavy equipment at high altitudes. The locals were friendly (lots of Berber whiskey) and we were happy to contribute to the tourism growth of the local economy, which appears to be growing. We would recommend sturdy hiking shoes, which we didn't have...!

3 Days tour to the Atlas mountans - I did the 3 days tour from Marrakesh. At first, I drove with a few other tourists to the Atlas Mountains. It was slightly touristy what I don’t like… The most people do the 1 day tour and don’t really see something of the mountains or experience the culture. After lunch all other tourist left, and I was the only tourist left in the hostel. The Berbers were so nice, and the food was amazing. At the second day my guide Larbi picked me up and now the real journey started. Normally you get a mule, but I was only by myself, so it wasn’t really necessary, and I was happy to carry my stuff. It is like a challenge :D So we hiked up the mountains and had beautiful views on the Atlas. The food Larbi cooked for me was perfect. Especially in the middle of nowhere and more than I was able to eat. :D His English wasn’t the best, but he tried so hard that we had a lot of nice conversations. So we talked with a lot of other Berbers, played football with the children or enjoyed tea on nearly each stop we did. It was beautiful, and I can highly recommend the trip. Sometimes they are not 100% on time or the trip isn’t completely planed, but they always found the best experience for me and to be honest I don’t travel to Morocco to have the same culture like home :D To summarize: This were the best days of my Morocco trip. =) Thank you soo much =)
