BEST tour out of Marrakech!!! - Pick-up / van: The pick-up was very easy and was coordinated the night before with Omar, the tour guide for this trip! We met him in the market area in the morning. We were dropped off a block from the market in the evening because cars are not allowed in the market once it starts to pick up in the afternoon. The van was great and had working air conditioning. I would recommend bringing a large water bottle if you get thirsty on the trip, although you do stop for a short toilet/restaurant break. Small water bottles are provided. Sun shades are also at every window seat in case you sit on the side where the sun beams down on you. Camel ride: This was the first stop on our trip. Omar provided a history of mint tea and its importance for the Berber culture, how to make it, and recognize if the mint tea is good. The camel ride was fantastic and the guides, together with Omar, were rockstar photographers, running to catch up to the front to record videos and take pictures (trust them). Truly an amazing start to this adventure! They also dress everyone up in Moroccan clothes at no additional cost! The clothes were clean and freshly washed! They did not re-use clothes from previous groups. Argan oil cooperative: This cooperative was in a traditional Berber house. Omar gave short talks on berber traditions during the car ride and while we were in the cooperative which made it super special! The cooperative provides bread with argan butter, argan oil, honey, and olive oil to dip the bread in. It was all super delicious. After snacking, and the obligatory mint tea. The ladies that were working on making the argan products sang a traditional Berber song for us and let all women try the equipment too, which made the experience special! Hike: The hike goes to a waterfall where you can enjoy fresh orange juice for 20 dirham. You can also get tajine here but I wouldn’t as that would ruin your appetite for the delicious lunch Omar’s family prepares! After the waterfalls, the hike continues through the mountains but there are a lot of trees and therefore shade. I would not risk not taking a sunscreen (which you’re reminded to take before the trip begins) but it won’t be too challenging, neither because of the heat, nor the elevation. Get ready for beautiful views! Lunch: Lunch was an amazing spread of traditional Morrocan dishes including chicken tajine, couscous with veggies, bread, and water. Dessert was an apple tart dish - superb. The chicken tajine was super tender and delicious, but don’t worry because they cater to all food restrictions - vegetarian, celiac, etc. There were two types of chicken tajine, and both were the BEST tajine we had on our entire Moroccan trip!

Omar was a great guide,... - Omar was a great guide, very friendly and knowledgeable about local history and culture. The local lunch was more delicious than any other restaurants or hotels in Marrakech.
