Great value for money. Highly recommend. - Good fun, nice hike not too challenging, lovely views from walks and while driving. Redouane our guide was fantastic. Amazing value for money with camel ride included etc. plenty of stops for a look around and photos. Waterfall is cool. Various places along route to buy coffee or juice or local products. Lunch was in a Berber mountain village for €7 it included salad, bread, tagine, bun, tea, water. Seamless pickup and drop off at our hotels. Tour guide Redouane was lovely, very kind and informative and catered to various people’s needs. And took real good care of our group. Would highly recommend, best day we had in marrakech !

Really worthwhile experiences - This experience is completely worth the small fee. We were picked up right at our Riad, and there was good communication from our guide, Hamza about where and what time to meet. We drove to the desert to a small farm to ride the camels. It was very relaxed, with 25/30 minutes ride in a train of camels through some nearby fields around the farm. It was really quiet and tranquil, with beautiful views of the desert and the mountains, plenty of time to take pictures (whilst holding on for dear life). The thought of wearing the Berber attire felt little silly or intimidating beforehand but it was honestly a practical consideration, camels are dusty and stinky, and there's some dust in the air, being the desert. It might be a little gimmicky, but it didn't feel exploitative or cringey. We then drove into the mountains and stopped at a few viewpoints, then a women's cooperative for some tea and really delicious bread and peanut butter served on the scenic rooftop. The shop had nice souvenirs and no hard sell to buy, it's a little overpriced but when the breads and tea etc are included, it's reasonable, to my mind. We drove further into the mountains for a short hike to the waterfalls in imlil valley. The waterfall area is pretty crowded, although the atmosphere is nice, it's nothing truly spectacular, but you can take some pictures etc. The hike through the valley had some really beautiful views, we also stopped for some tea at a house with an incredible viewpoint looking up at the mountain. We then walked back down the valley and up to a little restaurant with another scenic terrace to have lunch. It was tasty and filling, and the views were lovely. It's pretty peaceful and quiet. We drove back to Marrakech and were dropped off back at the Riad for around und 17:30. Our guide Hamza was really friendly, answering all my questions and providing interesting insights into the region, as well as waiting for us when we stopped to take pictures. Everyone was very friendly and kind, and when you consider the price, for the length of the trip and the varied activities, it's really worth it.

Fantastic experience! - We loved this tour. We both could not believe how cheap it is for what you get in return. We were picked up from our hotel and dropped back at the end of the day. The camel ride was fun and we were dressed in traditional clothing on arrival. The hike to the waterfalls was brilliant. The guide helped everyone manage the trail with great care. The views were spectacular. The snack with bread, oils, peanut butter and tea was perfect for the time of day. The argan oil shop was great for buying presents. The tagine lunch was delicious and so cheap. Highly recommend!

Would NOT recommend, read full comment please - We would NOT recommend this activity. Writing this review as we ride back to Marrakesh in the tour operators van. Do NOT trust the photos pisted woth this activity on Tripadvisor, as they are misleading and do not represent the true contents of this activity. Normally we are very positive people, but this activity made us write this review. Driver and guide both did their jobs, but never did it feel like they realised the people on board are living a once i. Alifetime experience. The Agafey desert isn’t a true sandy desert at all. In fact, taking a landscape photo of some rocky hills from the road at a five minute stop should not even be allowed to be advertised as visiting the desert. Camel ride on a plain where the only truly interesting thing to see are the high atlas mountains for 20 minutes also felt a bit like a tourist trap. The lunch was delicious (paid out of pocket) and the waterfal was nice. This activity is not suitable for people with babies in a stroller, even though there’s an additional charge for infants. We’ll contact the agency and see what they will say. Still, we recommend you do NOT book this activity..

End of Year in the Desert - Avoid the Maroc Voyages .I bought a year-end pass package in the desert .Bom didn't get to believe .The tents were some barracks cold entrance all over the place ,the field fire were bidons with some wood that were fed with smoke kerosene bushes. The food was terrible and we were not warned that there were no alcoholic beverages. We left before the end of the year we spent at the Sofitel bar where we were staying.
