A mince around the Atlas mountains - A hidden gem of an excursion! Me and my family had a great time on this gentle hike trip with our fabulous guide Elhoussain! He had great communication with us and was very knowledgeable giving all of the history of the area and recommendations of what to do in Marrakesh. He took the walk at a nice steady pace for us all to handle and was a complete darling with the poor girl who was unwell and threw up. He was super friendly and even took us for a lovely home cooked meal at his family home!
The trip overall was stunning and the views were exceptional. Highly recommend going on a Tuesday or a Saturday as the Market was a great addition to the trip.
10 out of 10, would do it again!

Authentic visit to the Atlas 😍 - Amazing visit to the Atlas with our great Elhoussain Guide! ⛰️
We visited a local souk (nothing to do with the big souk of Marrakech) an argan cooperative, a pottery store while going towards the atlas in a very comfortable car, we talk a lot on the way and Elhoussain answers all our questions, he knows his mountains and his history!
The hike in the Atlas is amazing, the view is beautiful, the setting is idyllic, away from the noise and bustle of the city, just nature and us!
Arriving at the top of the Atlas, Elhoussain shows us around his home village and takes us to taste good dishes prepared by his mother and sister. From the entrance to the desert to the tea, it was delicious, the dishes were tasty and generous!
We attack the decent Atlas, passing through the forest, in the shade of trees, accompanied by the sound of waterfall, we meet locals, and some hikers.
This day is part of our best activity we could do during our trip, both for the beauty of the scenery, and for the sympathy of Elhoussain, his family and his driver. Thank you! 🥰
If you are looking for an authentic activity in Morocco, the visit of the Atlas with Elhoussain is for you!
(I took care not to reveal everything in photos, you will see the rest on site ☺️)

An amazing trip in the mountains ⛰️ - Elhoussain is a Very nice person, very welcoming with great values. We had great exchanges, he is very keen on answering all of our questions.
First, we went to a “real” souk (small and local), we also stoped at a women’s cooperative of Argan and to a local pottery shop.
Then it was time for the hick, we went with 2 friends with different abilities to climb the Atlas. Elhoussain had a back up plan with his driver (very nice too and a good driver) for those who can’t climb, but we didn’t need it. When we arrived at his childhood village, he took us to his mother’s house and she cooked lunch for us with his sister in front of the atlas.
We have to say that we were surprised by their kindness and hospitality mostly because we were in a period of ramadan, and we didn’t feel any discomfort.
After that we went to a small waterfall by the village where you can drink fresh orange juice with your feet in the water, we met the locals on our way down, it was very resourceful, far away from the noise of the city, and the landscape was amazing!
A great thing about Elhoussain that we have to point out is that he chooses not too work with the camels, even if it means less attractive tours, because he wants to show us that we can work in tourism but in a more ethical way.
We all agreed on the fact that it was one of the best encounter and activity of our trip.
I recommend to everyone who loves nature, great local food, and people
Thank you Elhoussain

Atlas mountains ❤️❤️❤️ - This was such a beautiful experience and I’m so glad my husband and I opted to do this after we booked with Hamid and Hussain for the Essaouira trip. This time we were guided by Hussain. The journey started with a stop at the weekly markets (they open on a tuesday or saturday so try to go on these days!!) and we tried some delicious fruits. We then got to Imlil valley where we started our hike. We took frequent breaks where Hussein told us stories of the mountains, its people and his childhood growing up. We then had the honour of being invited to his family home and having a home cooked meal from his mum!!! This experience felt so wholesome and intimate. We also had fun with the group we went to. A must do experience if you visit Marrakesh

Unique authentic trip to the Atlas Mountains! - Beautifully planned day trip to the Atlas Mountains with Elhoussain! Was an incredible journey there with interesting stops in a local market and various picture spots. Loved the little snippets and gems of knowledge given by Elhoussain throughout. The highlight for me was the lunch at the traditional Berber home, which was an unforgettable experience. Would thoroughly recommend to all.

Beautiful trip through the Atlas Mountains - Had such an amazing time on this trip. Hussain took myself and two of my friends on a private tour through the Atlas Mountains and told us so much about the culture. The journey there and back was easy and went smoothly. Hussain invited us into his home to have tagine, cous cous and Moroccon tea which was 5 stars in itself. Would recommend this trip and Hussain as their guide to anyone visiting Morocco. Thank you for the beautiful experience!

Book your tour with Houssain! - This was my favourite trip of the holiday. Houssain was a lovely man with so much knowledge as he is from the Atlas Mountains. He invited us to his home where his family cooked us a beautiful meal. I had my concerns about poor care of animals on this holiday but he put my mind at rest and told us about how things have improved over the years (especially donkeys in the mountains) they are all very well cared for as are all animals in the mountains. The scenery was lovely as were all the people on this trip. I will never forget it - if you are going to book a tour in the Atlas Mountains , You will not get a better and more friendly tour guide than Houssain . Thank you very much again for a great experience 😊

Fantastic experience in the mountains - Truly an incredible experience. Lahcen was a very good guide, and taught us lots about the local area. The walks aren't too strenuous, about an hour uphill and 30 minutes down. 1 of a kind views, and a really yummy lunch. They accommodated us by providing a really good vegan lunch. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Unique experience ✨ - Amazing tour! The best of our vacation. Ibri it’s a special guide. They pick us up on time, brought us to the 3 valleys, we did couple of stops for pictures, visited the Argan oil cooperative and then around 1.5h walk/hike that was the best part. Ibri explained us everything really in detailed, answered every questions. It was super interesting to learn about his culture, place and everything. Then we finished the tour in his village and had lunch at his place, cooked by his mom. It was a very unique e not a common turistic experience. We really loved it.
In addition They really respect animals and do not offer camel tours (this was really a plus) Super recommended.✨✨✨

A MUST DO ...DAY EXCURSION FRO. MARRAKESH - Rather than driving BY a Berber Village, take advantage of visiting one✨️
Ibri will guide you a hike up the hills, with the high Atlas mountains as a back drop. He will share about the Berber way of life and share his personal experiences. Meet his welcoming family 🤲
Best of all, an authentic tagine like you have never tasted!
Meet his family and be in the heart of the villiage 🍒
15/10
This community was devastated by the earthquake September 2023
Instead of blowing your money for fake artisans in Marrakesh, please support the local businesses of this town. They have a long way to go❣️
My greatest take away of this excursion is very humbling! Also a further desire to include my extended family in all activities around the big old table
An affordable daytime tour. Bring great walking shoes and sun protection. I'm a big fat old girl and I could do the hike so it's not that difficult. Embrace the smells the colors and the sounds 🥰
