Day 1: Journey from Marrakech to Dades Valley

Tizi n Tichka - The tour begins early with a pickup from your Marrakech accommodation. Travel along the winding roads of the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, offering stunning panoramic views en route to the magnificent Atlas Mountains. Stops will be made at authentic Berber communities for photo opportunities and insights into their lifestyle.

Ait Ben Haddou - The next stop is the renowned Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its ancient Kasbah, featured in numerous well-known films.

Ouarzazate - Following a guided tour, the journey continues to Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” home to the world’s largest film studio by area. Here, enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of famous movie sets from productions like Gladiator and Game of Thrones, and visit the impressive Kasbah Taourirt. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert

Dades Gorges - After breakfast, the tour proceeds to the Todra Gorge, one of Morocco’s most breathtaking canyon landscapes, where a short walk along the towering rock walls is possible.

Merzouga - The journey continues through palm groves and desert towns to reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, meet your guide and embark on a camel ride across the golden dunes of the Erg Chebbi desert at sunset, creating a magical atmosphere. After about an hour of camel trekking, arrive at a traditional desert camp. Enjoy a night under the stars in a comfortable Berber tent, with a delightful dinner and live Berber music by the campfire.

Merzouga - High Atlas - Marrakech

Kalaat M’Gouna - An early morning wake-up call allows for a sunrise view over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast and a shower at the camp, the journey back to Marrakech begins, passing through various areas and Berber villages until reaching Ouarzazate. The return to Marrakech follows the same route, concluding the 3-day shared desert tour from Marrakech in the late afternoon around 7:30 pm, with a drop-off at your hotel or the nearest accessible point to your riad.
