Marrakech-Hotel
Marrakech - Welcome to Marrakech! Our 5-Day Morocco desert tour begins at Marrakech International Airport (RAK). You will be greeted by our guide and driven to our hotel in Marrakech, which is just 10 minutes from the airport and Jemma el Fna Square, the city’s main tourist attraction.
Important information: The guide will meet guests at the airport arrivals with a DeeplyMorocco sign for easy identification.
Dinner and overnight stay at ANDALOUS HOTEL.
Marrakech - Ouarzazat
Ouarzazate - We will then head towards the Dades gorges, passing through Tizi-n-Tichka in the Atlas Mountains. We will visit the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site that has served as a backdrop for many films, including Lawrence of Arabia and Gladiator. We will then return to our hotel in Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Marrakech - After breakfast, we’ll leave the hotel for a tour of the old city with a local guide (Rachid). City tour INCLUDED. We’ll visit the Bahia Palace, the great Koutoubia Mosque, and the lively Jemaa El Fna square.
Ouarzazat - Merzouga
Merzouga - After breakfast, we set off for the Moroccan Sahara desert from Erg Chebbi to Merzouga. We’ll visit the Todra Gorge and stop for photos at Tenghir, one of the largest palm groves in the region. We’ll also stop in a Berber village to try on traditional clothing (Nomad style) and take photos. After a few hours’ drive into the Sahara, we will finally start to see the sand dunes. Camels will be waiting for you for a ride through the Sahara dunes to admire the sunset. If you prefer not to ride a camel, you can take a 4x4 to our tents. After sunset, you will continue your journey to our camp. After dinner at the camp, the staff will play Berber music around the campfire. Dinner and overnight stay in luxury tents in the desert.
Merzouga - Marrakech
Merzouga - Breakfast and an optional quad bike ride. Then departure for Marrakech city via the highest pass of Tizi N’ Tichka. Optional visit to an ARGAN oil cooperative. Arrival in Marrakech in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Marrakech - Airport
Marrakech - Before concluding our 5-Day Desert trip, you will have breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy some free time in Marrakech before your transfer to Marrakech Airport, with an option to transfer to Casablanca Airport if your flight departs from there.
