Souk des Teinturiers - The dyers’ souk is located in the Medina, near the Mouassine spring and the mosque of the same name, in the western half of the tangle of streets. Although this souk lost its activity several years ago with the increasing use of industrial dyes, you can still see some small workshops where traditional dyeing is still practiced.

Souk Semmarine - Considered the main artery of the souks of the Medina, Souk Semmarine is accessible from Place Jemaa El Fna, in a derb (medina alley) of the same name. A name that it takes from the farriers who once occupied this strategic place to shoe the animals of the caravanners, while the latter did their usual shopping. Today, the Souk Semmarine is a very colorful shopping avenue where you can find mainly merchants of fabrics, souvenirs, crafts but also unique addresses for Moroccan antiques. It represents the entrance to the specialized souks: spices, carpets, fabrics, slippers… A veritable Ali Baba’s cave.
