Known as “The Roof of North Africa,” this area attracts many trekkers due to its relatively easy terrain and the assistance of muleteers and their mules, which reduces physical strain. Tourism has significantly changed the lifestyle of the mountain Berbers in the area, with many now working in tourism as muleteers, guides, cooks, and porters.
