- Koutoubia Mosque - The Koutoubia Mosque is the most important in Marrakech and was one of the largest in the Islamic world at the end of its construction in 1158.
The construction of the Koutoubia began in 1141 at the request of the Almohad caliph Abd al Mumin and particularly attracts attention for the height of its minaret – which is reminiscent of that of the Giralda – and for its pink sandstone color, typical of the city.
Its name, which means “booksellers’ mosque” in French, comes from the numerous book stalls which surrounded the monument after the end of its construction.

Jardin Majorelle - The Majorelle Garden was created in 1924 by Jacques Majorelle, a French painter who settled in Marrakech in 1919.
