Nice Guide - Very nice Guide Mohammed, he did all well. The one thing I did not like was a stop at a carpet dealer. I felt very uncomfortable there and almost forced to buy a carpet.

An up close tour of hidden sights - Mustafa our tour guide made it all happen! He was very knowlegible and fluent in several languages. He told the history of Morocco and how it fits with the rest of the world. The highlite of (and there were many) the tour was the traditional lunch at his family home, it was beautiful. The next highlite was the hiking tour through the back lands and villages to immerge at a waterfall. Oh and the camel ride in traditional Berber costumes was perfect. The best part of the tour was Mustafa he made us comfortable with all his knowlege and pouring tea!

Very good guide, - Made the Souks and different trades that are undertaken in them most interesting. We had a very good insight to the culture and daily lives of the families. Gave us confidence to go on our own another day. No hassle from any of the traders, all very friendly.

Rotten tour - Our guide was literally on his phone the entire time until we asked him not to. Then all he did was take us from one vendor to another - leaving us with them while they tey to sell us something.

Waste of time and got ripped off! - We were really disappointed with this tour and felt we wasted 3 hours of our day. We felt like the tour guide Mohammed took us to see his mates so we would buy from them and he was obviously getting a cut in my opinion. We were taken to one shop in particular (not in the Souk) and made to sit down for at least half hour to listen about herbs, spices, oils, creams etc…We tried to leave and were told "Sit Down" It was a full-on sales pitch! We wanted to buy some saffron and felt obliged to buy some here, so we did just to shut them up and leave. We got charged 200 Dirhams for 2 grams as this was the "minimum" they told us. When we finally got to the Souk (2 hours 45 minutes into the tour) Mohammed just rushed around and we had no time to look at anything we wanted as we had a list of things we planned to buy. We decided at this point to leave the group as we were on a tight time schedule as we had other plans in the afternoon. We went to one stall in the Souk to buy some spices and managed to get 6 grams of Saffron from 50 dirhams. Basically, we got charged 100 Dirhams for 1 gram in the shop and 8.3 Dirhams for 1 gram at the Souk. This means we were charged 1,104.82% over the odds. Absolutely disgusted that we got ripped off in the shop that Mohammed took us to. Like I said, Mohammed was clearly on a commission split with the shop. This was definitely not a Souks tour and did ruin our morning as we never actually got to experience the Souk, they way we imagined. We were only there for a long weekend and dint have time to go back unfortunately. My advice, avoid this like the plague or if you have time, do it but avoid buying anything in the back-street shops as you will get ripped off.
