Free stroll to the Souk - Unmissable place of Marrakech! We got lost 100 times and each time we found our way back through the merchants of the Souk! Do not hesitate to go anywhere, touch, discuss, and you go... Negotiate if you want and enjoy...Smells, colors, mob noises' and others ... Great experience!

Fabulous Tour Through the Medina Souks - I couldn’t imagine navigating the Medina Souks without a guide. Not only did Mohammad take us to various locations we would have never found on our own (i.e., artisans section), he also provided a wonderful recap of Marrakech’s culture & history. He also took us to vendors that were kind & didn’t pressure us to buy. We felt safe the entire time. What a fabulous way to spend the morning. Thanks for being a top-notch guide, Mohammad!!

Of life - What a beautiful place: smells, colors, people...... Some will alpine you to sell you absolutely and some will let you admire the work of craftsmen Only downside motorcycles, scooters that brush you all the time you have to be vigilant

We Came, We Saw, We Bought A Carpet! - My wife and I were barely off the plane in Marrakech and checked into our riad before we began our week's holiday with a tour of the souks, accompanied by our guide Mohamed Reda Benabad, and this tour proved to be a truly great start to our trip! Mohamed was a supremely knowledgeable guide not just for the souks themselves but for helping us familiarize ourselves with the Medina in general. We saw beautiful decorative lights, shoes, coats, and we even ended up buying a runner carpet for our home back in the UK!

Just be wary of overpriced sellers - We could just not miss the bargain tradition and went all the way down there. Some sellers were a bit annoying and run after us when they felt they were missing an opportunity to rip us off. We just kindly refused the overpriced proposals and kept on searching for more honest vendors. Loved the tea ceremony that goes with the conclusion of a good deal. A precious tip for beginners: sunset hour is the best time for negotiation. No one really bargains in the mornings.

Stop motorbikes/mopeds in the souks - Why mediocre, yes the Souk is magnificent, very colorful, friendly, but very very big problem these are motorcycles / mopeds which circulate freely in the very dangerous souks, because he thinks that they are the only ones in the world, many people refuse to 'go to the souk for this reason, sincerely I understand them because it is very painful and dangerous, Too bad, in fact the only souk to have this kind of problem,

Don't buy anything during the trip! - This is certainly an option to explore the souks, but we felt a bit ripped off. For example, the guide took us to a spice shop. It was announced that way, but he should have told us in advance what was going to happen, namely an explanation of all the products available and then the offer to purchase. He should have told us (as a highly paid guide) how much we could offer, but he clearly sided with the sellers. Besides, we're pretty sure he got his percentage on our purchase. With a guide you cannot make good offers anyway because there is time pressure in the store. So: never buy anything during a guided tour. You can also find your way in the souks via maps.me. All in all we paid at least 50 euros too much.

Not worth the money - I would say it was waste of money for this 2 hour walking tour and do not recommend spending the money. We reserved this experience for two individuals, paying £70 (approximately $99), and scheduled it for the 6 pm slot in the evening. Upon meeting our guide, Ismail, it seemed he was fatigued, likely from attending to other clients throughout the day, and showed little enthusiasm for the next two hours. Initially, we quietly traversed the souks, merely observing without much interaction or conversation. Later, Ismail engaged in personal discussions, delving into our backgrounds and preferences, whereas we had hoped for more insights into the city, its souks, and its history. Our visit to the Medresa, for which we paid an entrance fee, lasted a mere 15 minutes and felt inconsequential as part of the tour, as we could have explored more on our own. Much of the information provided, such as about the city, the Berber tribe, and the Koutoubia Mosque, seemed basic and easily accessible on Wikipedia, making us question the value of the guided experience. DO NOT SPEND MONEY ON THIS WALKING TRIP NOT WORTH THE MONEY.

Running away horrible - Simply horrible A racketeering experience Extorted parking lot Every 10 seconds someone talks to you to sell you something Very few sincere people Moroccan generosity is not there. They suck your soul Never again Very bad publicity for them, they forget that they live from tourism…. The people of the mountains are more authentic and true, we had good encounters but far from Marrakech The first time in my life that I am happy to return to work on Monday and flee this country
