Hanging Out with a Marrakesh Historian - We booked this tour because we had previously met Ayoub as our driver from the airport to our hotel in Marrakech. On the drive, he mentioned he did city tours as well. I mentioned a few places my husband and I wanted to see and Ayoub wanted to show us the Jemaa el-Fna market, so we scheduled this tour for the following day. All together it was a 4 hour tour (half day). We went to Jardin Majorelle, Bahia Palace, Dar Si Said Musuem of Weaving and Carpets, and the Souks (markets). Touring with Ayoub is like hanging out with a friend who just happens to know a lot about the history of Marrakech and Morocco and can also guide you to some interesting sites in the market. He was very professional and patient. Especially with indulging me and the pictures I wanted to take. I highly recommend letting Ayoub show you around Marrakech, he clearly loves the city and knows the best way to share it with people.

Unreliable company - The guide did not show up at the appointed time. The hosts at the riad tried calling and I sent several messages with no success. Several hours later the tour company sent a message saying they could not find the location; however, you could easily find it on Google maps (which is how I located it) or they could have reached out to me via message, WhatsApp, or phone but they didn't even try. I understand that things can go wrong, but I don't think there is a good excuse for this treatment.
