- Jardin Majorelle - The Majorelle Garden, developed over forty years, is enclosed by walls and features a maze of intersecting paths, interlocking levels, and vibrant Art Deco Moorish buildings. This garden is a lush and grand collection of exotic plants and trees from distant lands. In 1980, Yves Saint Laurent and Pierre Bergé, who first visited Morocco in 1966, purchased the Majorelle Garden to save it from being turned into a hotel complex. The new owners chose to reside in the artist Jacques Majorelle’s villa, now called Villa Oasis. Please note that tickets for the Majorelle Garden are available exclusively online.
- Koutoubia Mosque - The Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in Marrakech, situated in the southwestern district of the medina. The mosque features curved windows, a ceramic band, pointed merlons, and decorative arches. It has a large square with gardens and is illuminated at night. The minaret stands 77 meters (253 feet) tall and includes an arrow and orbs. Completed during the reign of the Berber Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184-1199), it inspired other structures such as the Giralda in Seville and the Hassan Tower in Rabat.
- Bahia Palace - Bahia Palace is one of the grand palaces in Marrakech, also known as the Red City. Built by Minister Ahmed bin Musa in the 19th century to honor his wife, “Bahia,” it is now an artistic masterpiece showcasing the splendor of Moroccan architecture with Andalusian influences, reflecting the rich history and culture.
- Saadian Tombs - Located next to the Kasbah Mosque, the Saadian Tombs are among the few remnants of the Saadian dynasty, which ruled during Marrakech’s golden age from 1524 to 1659. In the early 18th century, Sultan Moulay Ismaïl sought to erase the dynasty’s legacy by destroying its remaining structures. However, he refrained from desecrating their graves and instead ordered the entrance to the necropolis to be sealed.
- Menara Gardens and Pavilion - The Menara Gardens are one of Morocco’s most appealing tourist destinations, especially popular among locals seeking to enjoy nature and escape the summer heat. In Marrakech, the Menara Gardens are a beloved spot for both residents and visitors, offering a refreshing retreat and a beautiful Moroccan ambiance.
- Theatre Royal - Inaugurated by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, in the presence of King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia, this venue remains a source of pride for the people of Marrakech.
- Gueliz - Located in the modern part of the city, the district of Gueliz is a vibrant area that attracts both locals and tourists, even though it lies outside the city walls.
