Recommended for first time visitors - This was a great experience. I highly recommend getting a guided tour - it really assisted us with the language barrier and bartering. We also really liked the explanation of different sections of the souks and their history.

Souks Tour with Abdel - We did a private tour on August 23rd, 2024 with our guide Abdel. He was wonderful. As he guided us tgriugh the souks he shared his knowledge of the history of the Medina and the layout of the souks. We had some great finds and a very nice time. We would highly recommend this tour as well as our guide Abdel.

Souks and more - great guide - Excellent tour with informative and funny guide - Abdul was great, he explained a little of the history of Marrakesh, guided us skilfully through the souks, gave advice on how to buy or not! Gave us some handy tips and restaurant recommendations. He clearly works hard for his money and for his wife 😊 100% Recommend this tour.

A wonderful experience and a sensory overload! Loved it! - We took a taxi to the Medina where we met up with Abdel to visit the souks of Marrakech. As it was Friday (prayer day), about 50% of the market shops were shut - but this proved to be perfect as it wasn't noisy, stifling hot or crowded! We also opted for the morning which again, I think was a better time to go, considering how crowded it was when we finished our tour. We were able to see close up, traders making their own products, including blacksmiths, cobblers, leather puffes, natural dyes, herbalists, bakers and woodcrafters etc. The souks are full of sights and sounds, colours and smells - a true sensory overload! These are the original and traditional markets of the Moroccan people. Everyone is so friendly - proud to talk about their trade and eager to barter with you - but not overly pushy at all! The herbalist gave us tea and talks and interactive demonstrations of the health benefits of many plants, herbs, cactus, argan, and other natural products. This was so interesting, as was the talk and demonstration we had from another trader about how they use natural dyes and where they come from. Abdel was the perfect guide! He is so knowledgeable and so proud of his city and its history. His English is perfect and he is funny too! He took his time showing us as much as possible so we could take in every corner of this fabulous place without being rushed! This was such a great day experiencing the Berber and Arabic cultures and traditions. Thank you to the group, who we got on great with, and thank you to Abdel. Loved it! 😊

Brilliant experience of the Souks - We had the best first experience of the Souks with Abdul ( hopefully we have spelt that correctly!) We learnt so much about the history of the Madina and the different sellers within the Souks. He made us feel very comfortable with the wonders of bartering within the Souks and we got to see some hidden gems such as the community bakery and the Hammam! Abdul was very friendly and knowledgable, which made our experience one to remember! Thank you.

Great trip around the souks - We had a great tour of the souks with Ali. He was very knowledgeable and took us to some great spots for looking at local craftsmen/women. Our tour was in the morning, so there was less people through the souks, which helped us as we had out young son with us, so it was easier to navigate. I would highly recommend the tour with Ali.

Great Souks trip. - Tour guide very knowledgeable and took us on a historical journey of the Souks. Stopped at a variety of stalls. Stall holders were friendly and were accepting when we didn't want to buy anything. Guide spoke good English. An enjoyable trip.
