Great tour - Really good walking tour. We were asked to start half an hour earlier at 9:30 rather than 10 which meant we got to places before the crowds developed. Went to the old university, the souks and the secret gardens. What was billed as 2 hours was actually nearer 4 as we were allowed to take our time. Maybe a bit too long at the perfume area but otherwise great and it really made me confident to return alone on my next few days in town. Tip - do it early in your stay

Souk Tour - Very interesting tour of the Souks. Also, interesting facts learnt about other areas and buildings en route. The tour gave us confidence to venture 'deep' the following day!

Excellent tour - great value for money! - Our guide Ismael was really knowledgeable and relaxed. We booked a 3 hour private tour just for our family and he took us to places we requested like the gold and silver souk to buy a Moroccan tea pot and a stall for a football shirt for my son. He took us to the real authentic areas of the souk where we saw blacksmiths, the communal oven heating the hammam, a scarf maker and a herbalist who gave us demos. We also had a coffee heated in sand and the most delicious tagline at Backchich on a roof terrace while he waited for us. Tips for future travellers would be to have some Moroccan coins to tip people like the guys at the oven and to use a local toilet during the tour and also to avoid a Friday because it’s a day of religious observance so many stalls were closed. Highly recommend - great value for money as we’d never have been brave enough to venture into the depths of the souks without his local knowledge.

Visits to the souks - We visited the souks without a guide at first, we quickly got lost, a real maze. The merchants take the opportunity to sell you as many things as possible and do not let go of the matter. There are plenty of handmade or not... (babouches, handbag, djellaba...). 3 days later we had a guide who could take us to the real leather shops and see the different crafts. It's so big we wouldn't be able to find the stores. Half a day is enough because we get tired of it quickly and there are many smells.

Excellent - Highly recommend. We gave Hassan a wish list of our shopping wants.jewellery, leather bags, face creams, and an authentic Berber tambourine. He took us to all the right places and helped me haggle for an opal necklace that started at 1200 dh and got it for 550!! Ended up at cafe Arabe. Navigated the soul again today by ourselves and back to the cafe for roof top views, white wine and food. Delicious. If you go on a tour drop a pin if you wish to return to a particular shop. Really helps.
