  • Marrakech - Meet your driver in Marrakech and escape from the bustling city of Marrakech towards the Agafay desert which provides a peaceful retrait just a short distance away. After 40 minutes drive, you will arrive to your camp where you are dining. Upon the arrival, a warmth welcome by the camp stuff is waiting for you with fresh mint tea as a sign of their generous hospitality.

  • On our way, we will stop at an argan oil cooperative owned by local ladies to discover this popular Moroccan product, have a cup of tea and use the toilet if necessary.

  • Agafay Desert - After the tea, you will have a long free time to enjoy beauty and seren atmosphere and the breathtaking views of the surrounding views of Atlas mountains in the horizon. Bringing a book is a great idea to enjoy more the serenity of this magic area.
    Afterwards, get ready to take unique photos of the sunset transforming the colors of the stoney hills when the weather conditions allow that. Then, join the other travelers around a camp fire and enjoy the local music vibes when the creative stuff of the camp play drums and singing traditional Berber music around the bonfire. The show will be followed by three courses dinner freshly made and served by locals (mostly buffet. Vegetarian and vegan options available).
    After dinner, take free time and marvel at the expansive night sky dotted with countless stars. Witness the beauty of constellations and perhaps catch a glimpse of shooting stars.At the end, your driver will take you back to Marrakech.

While not a traditional sandy desert like the Sahara, the Agafay offers its own distinctive charm as a rocky desert. Characterized by vast stretches of rocky terrain, barren hills and scattered patches of shrubs, Agafay present a mesmerizing contrast against the backdrop of the majestic Atlas Mountains. It’s lunar-like landscape create an otherworldly ambiance, making it popular destination for those seeking a desert experience without vonturing deep in the Sahara. -You can upgrade for a camel ride for 20 minutes and emmers yourself in the tranquility of the surrounding, taking in the rugged terrain and enjoying the desert atmosphere (Extra of €10 in cash). Or you can choose to upgrade for a 45 minutes quad biking adventure and experience an adrenaline rush and navigate the rocky trails and enjoy excitement of off-road adventure (Extra of € 30 per/pers to be paid at the spot in cash).

Amazing experience - This has to be one of the best experiences we’ve had! Not only did we ride around in the desert but we also got to experience and participate in Moroccan culture. I would advise everyone to try it out, you won’t regret it! Our tour guide Omar was very nice, friendly and had a lot of jokes (we were laughing all day).

Couldn't have asked for more - Omar was the best host ever - the vibes were immaculate and we shared a unique experience in the desert, singing and dancing to Berber songs, riding quads and tasting the local dishes and finally having a fire show. Omar even brought my friend and me back to the Riad as it was dark and he wanted us to be safe - thank you. Would rebook in an instant!

The best experience - Really enjoyed the day, such amazing views and the group we were with were very friendly, food buffet was great and entertainment music was live and enjoyable. I will prepare to take a jacket for next time as it got too cold towards the evening, Camel ride at sunset was amazing. Omar our rep was very friendly and looked after the group so well.

Perfect! - Everything was perfect! That's a big crush! The whole family loved this activity. We went there as a family with children and the organizers were great with each person. The setting was beautiful! The meal was delicious. It's a flawless one. Thanks to Omar and Abdelkarim for their kindness and efficiency. We strongly recommend this activity.

Amazing experience! - We had an excellent night, with very good food, music, dancing and an amazing camel ride. The group was small which made the experience that much more enjoyable. Omar and his team made us feel welcomed and we really recommend this tour!

The best ride I've ever done! - I took this tour on 29/06/2024 with my boyfriend Diego. It was perfect! Omar gave us tips about Marrakesh, explained everything about the tours. I loved the mint tea (and I am not even drinking tea). You had an amazing dinner! Music and fire. To finish, the whole sky is starry. Go! It's worth it! You're not gonna regret it. Omar, you are amazing!!!!!

Highlight of our time in Marrakech! - I spent quite a bit of time looking through all the different desert tour operators before choosing this one and I'm so glad I did! There was something warm and welcoming and honest about the way it was described and that is exactly what it was! It was a real family affair and of a very high standard. We were collected by Omar (whose business it is) at a central location and drove approx 45 mins out of central Marrakech and then into the desert past all the other camps and camel tours which looked super busy and not far from the main road. When we arrived at Omar's camp it was of such a high standard and were treated so very well by him, his brothers and nephews who looked after us, entertained us and cooked beautiful food for us. The toilets were also spotless. The camel ride lasted about 20 mins and the camels were obviously very well cared for. We could then have done quad biking if we had wanted to. There was some hanging around while others did quad biking and camel riding but we happily lay on blankets, chilled and watched the sun go down. The dinner cooked by the family was absolutely delicious and was in fact my very fussy 20 year old daughter's favourite meal of the whole holiday! After dinner music was played around a fire and most people felt comfortable and relaxed enough to join in. We returned back at approximately 11.30 pm. I highly recommend this excellent tour.
