At 8:00 AM, the journey begins from Marrakech towards the High Atlas Mountains, crossing the Tizi N’Tichka Pass with several stops to admire the breathtaking landscapes.
Along the way, there will be a visit to a cooperative that produces argan oil, offering insight into the creation of this product, renowned for its numerous health benefits. The journey continues to the fortified village of Ait Ben Haddou, where the kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will be explored. Did you know that iconic films like “Gladiator,” “Asterix and Obelix,” “Sahara,” and “The Jewel of the Nile” were filmed here?
After lunch, the trip proceeds to Ouarzazate, known as the gateway to the desert, and then continues to the Rose Valley and the Dades Valley, where dinner and an overnight stay await.
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todra Gorges - Erfoud - Merzouga Desert
Merzouga Desert - After breakfast, the excursion resumes along the road of a thousand kasbahs, each with its own charm, leading to the Todra Gorges. Here, ancient waters carved the limestone walls, creating a unique landscape. This climbing paradise offers a chance to walk and admire the scenery.
The journey continues to the village of Touroug for lunch, then on to the Erg Chebbi dunes, where a refreshing mint tea is served. After a half-hour of relaxation, a camel ride leads to the tent camp for the night. Along the way, the sunset can be admired as the last rays of sunlight illuminate the vast sea of sand. Upon arrival at the Berber camp, dinner is served, and the night is spent in the tranquil desert.
Day 3: Merzouga - Hassi Labied - Khamlia - Rissani - Merzouga
Rissani Market - After witnessing a stunning sunrise in the desert, breakfast is followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga. The day is dedicated to exploring Hassi Labied, visiting its oasis, and learning about its irrigation system, the Khettara.
Next, the journey leads to the village of Khamlia, known for its inhabitants of Sub-Saharan African descent and their music. Did you know that a renowned music and dance festival is held here throughout the country?
The trip then proceeds to Rissani, the former economic capital of Morocco. Here, the old market, held three times a week, is visited, known for animal barter and a variety of handicrafts, clothing, accessories, Berber medicines, and unique items.
After the visit, the return to Merzouga includes dinner and an overnight stay in a riad.
Day 4: Merzouga - Alnif - Ouarzazate - Marrakech
Ouarzazate - After a hearty breakfast, the journey back to Marrakech begins, passing through the Tafilalet palm grove. The route crosses acacia plateaus and rocky desert expanses, leading to Alnif. Here, the road allows exploration of the Anti-Atlas mountain range and Tizi N’tfarkhin.
Around noon, a stop in Kalaat M’Gouna offers a chance to relax, stretch, and enjoy traditional Moroccan dishes.
The return journey continues through Ouarzazate and the High Atlas mountains, arriving in Marrakech around 8:30 PM, where farewells mark the end of a wonderful experience in the Moroccan desert.

- The standard and premium tent camps are completely separate. In addition to differences in the bathrooms—where the toilet and shower are inside the tent in the premium camp and outside in the standard camp—there are also variations in the food served, the furnishings, and the decoration of the tents.
- On the second day of the tour, we will take a camel ride from the Erg Chebbi dunes to the tented camp where we’ll be spending the night. For those who prefer not to ride a camel, a 4x4 transfer service is available for €65, which is the price per vehicle.
