Located in Marrakech, Morocco, the palace was intended to be the most magnificent of its time. The name ‘Bahia’ means ‘brilliance’ in Arabic. Like other buildings from the same period in different countries, it aimed to capture the essence of Islamic and Moroccan styles. The palace includes a 2-acre (8,000 m²) garden with rooms that open onto courtyards.
• Jardin Majorelle - The Majorelle Garden is a one-hectare botanical and artist’s landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. Created by French Orientalist artist Jacques Majorelle over nearly forty years starting in 1923, it features a Cubist villa designed by French architect Paul Sinoir in the 1930s.
