Its narrow streets and traditional architecture provide insight into the city’s rich heritage. Saadian Tombs - The Saadian Tombs, dating back to the era of Sultan Ahmad al-Mansur, contain the remains of approximately sixty members of the Sa’adi Dynasty. Rediscovered in 1917 and meticulously restored, these tombs are a major attraction in Marrakech, serving as the final resting place for dynasty members from the Dra’a Valley beyond the high Atlas Mountains.

Bahia Palace - El Bahia Palace, “the palace of the beautiful,” was constructed for Ahmed Ibn Moussa between 1894 and 1900 in the then-popular Alaoui style. The palace boasts 160 rooms surrounding small courtyards, rumored to have been primarily occupied by a growing number of concubines. The exquisite decorations include stucco panels, zellij designs, tiled floors, carved cedar ceilings, polished marble finishes (a special Marrakesh finish known as tadelakt, used in all the city’s riads’ bathrooms), and painted ceilings. The palace is encircled by an eight-hectare garden.
-
Medina of Marrakesh - The lively souks are the heart of Marrakesh, offering a variety of traditional Moroccan handicrafts, spices, medicinal remedies, and local entertainment. Visitors can discover iconic items such as babouches, leather goods, garments, pottery, tajine dishes, and silver jewelry. Bargaining is a common practice, adding an element of fun and excitement to the shopping experience.
