Amazing, the beauty of chaos - There is much to absorb, it is difficult even to explain everything we feel walking through the Medina. But in a few words, I would say it's the beauty of chaos. Very narrow streets that all look the same, where we will get lost several times. Many Moroccans rushed from one side to the other to make their own lives while passing horses, donkeys and moths... A lot of motorcycles centuries from us, in both directions. At first it's complicated, but we have to accept and enjoy... It is a very enriching experience. The streets are full of trade almost only for tourists, and all very similar. But we also see places to buy meat, fish or lunch/dinner. Sometimes we felt some discomfort, but I always felt safe... I never thought they'd steal me or hurt my girlfriend. I confess that I was surprised, I thought they were going to be a more masculine people but I did not notice uncomfortable looks or a single piropo. Always respectful. The famous "Jamaa el-Fnaa" square during the day due to the heat has fewer people, but we can see several typical attractions like snake charmers or buy teas and spices. During the night it is filled with street "restaurants", other animations and of course, many tourists. Not only the square, but this whole area lives from tourism and it is noted that they are "waiting for us". I loved coming here, I think it's not for everyone but we have to keep our minds open and help us realize the many differences we have in this culture.

To visit - Beautiful Medina. Very safe. You can run around with a cell phone. It 'still very nice to get lost to find new corners

Walking tour of Marrakech medina and souks - We used a pre booked tour guide who’s name was Momo. Momo was very informative and let us dictate what we wanted to do and see. We learned so much about the history of Morocco, Marrakesh, the Medina and Souks. He explained everything in very good English. Our walking tour took us through the Medina and through the Souks and to plenty of other places we would never have seen had it not been for Momo. We stopped off in the obligatory ‘mates’ shops and stalls but we wasn’t under any obligation to buy from them. Our walking tour took us through the main square, beautiful shops, alleyways and places of interest and lasted around 3 hours which for us was plenty All in all we thoroughly enjoyed it and we think it’s a must visit experience A few bits of advice 1. Wear trainers or comfortable footwear 2. Barter where you can 3. Please note not everywhere are happy to barter

Love La Medina - During my recent trip to Marrakech, I fell in love with the Medina. This place is a veritable maze of narrow and bustling streets, full of life and color. Souks are packed with crafts, spices and textiles, offering a unique and authentic shopping experience. Traditional architecture and historic mosques add special charm to every corner. In addition, the warmth and hospitality of the local people made my visit even more special. Walking through the Medina is like time travel, a real feast for the senses. It is certainly a place that left an indelible mark on my heart.

To do once.... - Medina where you can find everything from shops to restaurants. Lots of people, which makes driving in strollers difficult. I prefer in this case that of Fez or Rabat for example. Try the 15 dirham street sandwiches in the Medina, they are excellent.

Too much credit for this place - Very busy and intrusive, and busy. Lots of traffic what just drives between the stalls a lot of the same. Make sure you don't just have a monkey on your shoulder so you can take a picture and then you have to pay.
