A great cookery school in Marrakesh! - Me and my family (Husband and two daughters aged 9 and 6) visited the Amal centre to do bake Moroccan treats. We all had a great time in a wonderful centre. On arrival we was greeted warmly by Assia and the children we told they could use the trampoline whilst we waited to start as we had arrived early. We then got started and made some delicious food and got to eat them afterwards as a group. We had a wonderful time and would recommend to anyone visiting Marrakesh.

Our best experience in Marrakech - We took our 7 yr old daughter who had a whale of a time making some coconut coated cookies and msemen (flat square layered pancake). The staff were lovely, even though only a couple of them spoke English. We were especially interested to see how they help underprivileged women and children. We took a taxi there, but it would be useful to pre-book a ride back, as it was difficult to get a taxi even when we walked up to the main road.

Definitely book a cooking class at this splendid centre! - In addition to having the privilege of contributing to a project that deals with the training of women at risk of social exclusion, you will spend a unique morning surrounded by sweet people, skilled cooks and unforgettable traditions. We went with the whole family (2 adults and 2 teenagers) and learned how to prepare chicken and lamb tajine. While waiting for cooking, we collected the herbs for the preparation of mint tea. Sitting on the sofas in the garden we exchanged information and experiences that will always remain in our hearts. Thanks in particular to Assia for her welcome, availability and kindness. The Center is located in a very nice but decentralized residential area so it is preferable to go by taxi.
