Marrakech - After breakfast at your Hotel/Riad, embark on a private guided tour of Marrakech Medina with an official local guide. Begin exploring Marrakech Medina at 09:00 AM, known as “the red city of Morocco.” You’ll visit key historical and cultural sites, including the Koutoubia Tower, Saadian tombs, Bahia Palace, and Majorelle Gardens. After lunch at a local restaurant near Jamaa-Lfna, enjoy free time to wander through other parts of the city, explore the souks, and admire the array of handicrafts.
Marrakech – High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Hadou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley.
Ouarzazate - Our Driver/Guide will collect you at 8:00 AM from your Hotel/Riad. Travel from Marrakech to Dades with stops for photos and panoramic views. Marvel at the High Atlas Mountains, Tizi-N´Tichka pass, Berber villages, stunning landscapes, Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou, and Ouarzazate. Visit the famous Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1986, where films like Gladiator and The Mummy were shot. Enjoy lunch in the village before continuing to Ouarzazate, known as “The gate of the desert,” meaning “noiseless or without confusion” in Berber. Visit the Taourirt Kasbah and Cinema Museum. Next, explore the Roses Valley, passing through Skoura palm groves, home to over 700,000 palms and numerous Kasbahs. The valley is known for damascene roses used in cosmetics like rosewater. The Rose Festival, an important Moroccan cultural event, is held here annually in May. Finally, arrive at the Dades Valley for an overnight stay.
Dades Valley – Todgha Gorges – Big Sahara Desert of Merzouga.
Merzouga Desert - (Overnight in a Berber Camp within the Sahara Desert Erg Chebbi dunes). After breakfast, return through the valley to see the “monkey toes” rock formations and the 19th-century Kasbah of Ait Yul. Depart Dades Valley for Tinghir to reach the Todra Gorges, where the scenery is breathtaking. Walk under the 300m high red cliffs, a favorite spot for rock climbers. Local residents live in adobe villages nearby. After a short walk in the Todra Gorges, continue to Erfoud and Rissani for lunch. Proceed to Merzouga village for a camel ride guided by an experienced camel man through the Erg-Chebbi dunes. Spend the night under the stars or in a traditional Berber nomad tent. Dinner will be served in the tent. Overnight in a standard desert camp.
Merzouga - Rissani - Ziz Valley - Azrou - Ifrane – Fez.
Fes-Meknes - Rise early for a “Date with the sunrise” in the desert, a must-see experience. After breakfast, return to Merzouga by camel and begin the journey north through the Tafilalet palm grove, the world’s largest. Travel along a 20km road lined with thousands of palm trees to the Ziz Valley, where the river flows from the High Atlas, nourishing the palm grove. Stop for a panoramic view of the valley and Aoufous town. Pause in Midelt, in the heart of the Atlas, for lunch and rest. Continue through the Cedar forest, where monkeys may be spotted. Visit Ifran city, located on the northwestern slope of the Middle Atlas at 1630 meters above sea level. Its broad avenues, clean urban development, gardens, green areas, and architecture give it a Swiss-like appearance, earning it the nickname “Moroccan Switzerland.” It also features the Michlifen ski resort. Arrive in Fez around 6 PM and check into your hotel/Riad. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Fes Sightseeing
Fes - After breakfast, meet your local guide at the Hotel/Riad to explore Fez Medina, the oldest and most sacred of the Imperial cities. Your cultural and historical tour will navigate the 2000-year-old living medina, a maze of narrow streets bustling with markets, souks, craftsmen, and donkeys and mules transporting goods. Visit the Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas (Islamic universities), Nejjarine fountain, Moulay Idriss Mausoleum, and Karaouine Mosque. Conclude your tour with a visit to Fes Jdid and the revered Merenid Tombs for a stunning panoramic view of Fez. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Fes - Chefchaouen.
Chefchaouen - After breakfast, continue from Fes to Chefchaouen. Enjoy a scenic drive through fertile agricultural land to the Rif Mountains. Upon arrival in Chefchaouen, enjoy free time to explore this enchanting blue city, renowned for its vivid blue houses. Located in the Rif Mountains, northwest of Morocco, Chefchaouen is famous for its old town’s faded blue buildings. Leather and weaving workshops line its steep cobbled alleys. In the shaded central square of Outa el Hammam, visit the Kasbah with red walls, a 15th-century fortress with ethnographic and artistic exhibitions. The octagonal minaret of the Great Mosque is nearby.
Chefchaouen - Tangier - Assilah.
Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima - After breakfast at your hotel/Riad, travel to Tangier to visit Tangier beach, Cap Spartel, and Hercules Caves. Continue to Asilah through beautiful landscapes. Upon arrival in Assilah, explore the city, known for its annual art festival, where Medina walls are painted by renowned artists worldwide. Visit the Scala fortress for a stunning view of the Medina and ocean before checking into your accommodation. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Asilah - Rabat - Casablanca
Casablanca - After breakfast in Asilah, travel to Morocco’s capital, Rabat. Visit Hassan Tower, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, Bab Challah, Oudaya Kasbah, and a main gate of the royal palace. Continue to Casablanca to visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, built in 1993 by over 6000 craftsmen. Located on the city’s shores, it is a magnificent structure and one of the few mosques in Morocco open to foreigners. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Casablanca - El Jadida – Essaouira.
Essaouira - After breakfast at your hotel, continue your journey along the Atlantic Coast. Pass through El Jadida, a small port city formerly under Portuguese control, now a UNESCO World Heritage site. Arrive in Essaouira, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed city. This windswept fishing port, with its broad beaches and ancient walled medina with ramparts built into the cliffs, is a popular destination. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, explore the lively medina, stroll along the ramparts or beach, or visit the port to see the daily catch. Overnight in standard accommodation.
Essaouira - Marrakech.
Marrakech - After breakfast at the Riad, depart for Marrakech. Enjoy a relaxing drive lined with Argan oil cooperatives, where you can visit an Argan oil cooperative. Arrive in Marrakech and check into your hotel/Riad. Overnight in your accommodation.
