Fabulous trip to Morocco with MSDT - Our trip to Morocco with MSDT was delayed due to Covid but well worth the wait. Three of us spent 13 days in this beautiful diverse country led by our amazing driver/guide Khalid. We spent our nights in Rabat, Chefchouen, Meknes, Fes, Midelt, Mezouga, Dades, Marrakesh and Oualidia and loved the drives from place to place- so much to see in this country! The local guides arranged by Hamid were very knowledgeable and we learned about their country from them. We especially enjoyed staying in the beautiful Riads, riding camels to our overnight stay in the desert, roaming the alleys of the Medinas, eating Berber Pizza and the peaceful sounds of the ocean at Oualidia. Morocco Sahara Desert Tours is a topnotch tour company, easy to work with and we highly recommend them. MSDT listened to what we wanted, and made it so easy to sit back and enjoy. We were well taken care of, and would enthusiastically recommend MSDT to our family and friends!

Morocco Sahara Desert Travel (MSDT) is the BEST - MSDT agency put together a fantastic tour representing Morocco’s major cities and villages as we passed through the Atlas Mts. and Sahara Desert areas. The specific tours were comprehensive yet modifiable based on our small group’s needs. We were steeped in traditional culture from the riads within the old medinas, the narrow streets filled with colorful Moroccan goods and foods, to the desert camp via camel in the Erg Chebbi Desert. Our tour driver became a friend and trusting cohort enhancing our 11-day van travel to the next level. The agency owner paid close attention to our needs at every stage and was always just a phone call away if needed. MSDT comes highly recommended.
***Be sure to have plenty of smaller dirham available for tipping staff at most public water closets, restaurants, tourist attraction areas, etc. These people depend on your generosity!

Spellbound Morocco - From the day we landed into Marrakech (12 Feb) to the day we left (23 Feb), our whole experience about Morocco didn't disappoint.
Our amazing driver (Mostapha) was there to pick us up and delivered us to our beautiful accommodation. We knew straight away the standard and level of accommodation we had booked as part of our package for the entire journey.
Our whole journey around Morocco was totally breathtaking and jaw dropping. We've only seen things about Morocco and her cities on television back home in Australia, but it's a whole new meaning seeing these cities, monuments, sights first hand in person.
I must confess, visiting the Sahara Desert was truly amazing. Totally recommend.
Each city is truly different to the next. Same are layed back and chilled and others are fast and happening. I guess that's the diversity that Morocco can offer you.
One thing I must say that was truly a highlight for us, was the guided tours that came included in out package. Marrakech and Fez. The wealth of knowledge and experience they shared with us left us spell bounded. Trust me we had plenty of questions which they answered.
Another thing that we both loved and it goes without saying. Was our driver. His knowledge and experience of the cities, roads and the local areas was outstanding. His driving skills were impeccable and you felt safe in his care.
Also, our tour operator Hamid. Who organised our itinerary from start to finish. We ever had to to change dates on a couple of occasions and the pick-up and drop off points. All of this was effortless and not a problem. He was truly happy to accommodate our personal needs.
I would totally recommend anybody who wishes to visit Morocco, to utilise the services of this tour operators.

Magical tour of an amazing country - Our 12 day tour around this amazing country could not have been done in a better way. From the moment our guide and driver met us at the Airport we felt as if we had been picked up by a member of our own family. The warmth and friendship was genuine and made us immediately feel that we had chosen the right tour operators. Mostapha, our guide and driver was extremely knowledgeable in all aspects of the country's history, geography, culture, languages and religion.
Mostapha's driving throughout the tour was of a very good standard. His timekeeping was perfect and he was always willing to share his in depth knowledge of localities to ensure that we always had the best viewpoints and outlooks for each and every sight, scene or venue. The enthusiasm of our guide and driver was contagious and ensured that we always got the most out of each and every part of this experience.
The hotels and food were of excellent standard and featured fine examples of traditional Morrocan Architectural buildings complete with fantastic ornate finishings and beautiful furnishings. Each hotel was carefully chosen to be in a convenient position to the major sites and attractions of the town or city. Our driver and guide kept in touch with us at all times and ensured that we knew exactly what was happening and when. Simple small things such as occasionally buying us a local spiced coffee or a local pastry were a lovely touch and made us feel very much a part of the family.
The locations, times and options offered have been well researched and this tour is very well presented. The tour boss, Hamid, was extremely helpful with our requests to adjust the start position of our tour for our own reasons. Hamid worked closely with us for many months as we planned our final itinerary. Hamid was entirely dedicated to ensuring that we would be accommodated in all respects regarding our request to start and finish in Marrakech.
This tour was a long held dream for us both and thanks to Hamid and our driver/ guide Mostapha it was finally a dream come true.
I would thoroughly recommend this itinerary ( adjustable to suit personal needs and wishes), and the professional service and warm friendship offered by Hamid (The boss) and his team- in our case Mostapha.
Many thanks for helping us to realise our dream

Wonderful trip to Morocco - Thank You Zak - I recently completed a 12-day tour as a solo traveler with Morocco Sahara Desert Tour and would encourage anyone considering a trip to Morocco to book their trip through Hamid. I selected them for my tour because of the ease of scheduling and level of detail I was given at booking. You are really able to make your own tour, selecting the destination and activities in each location. After I put in my travel preferences and price points, I was given a detailed itinerary. After speaking with Hamid, we made a few changes based on his knowledge of the cities, and I was very happy with the schedule. The accommodations selected were fantastic riads with wonderful hosts and generally within good proximity to the city. If I had to make any changes to the riads selected, I might have requested to be closer to the city center in Marrakech, but I booked really last minute and didn’t realize how far it was until I arrived. The quality of the accommodations and the breakfasts each morning was fantastic.
When I arrived in Casablanca, I was greeted by Zak who was my driver for the entire trip. There is not nearly enough space in this review to pay Zak all the complements he deserves. While Hamid setup the trip, the success of the trip rests on the shoulders of the driver, Zak, who was with me the entire time. Zak was an incredibly safe and reliable driver. His vehicle was always super clean, it was clear he knew the roads well (and all the best places to stop!) and was happy to chat about the cities, life, sports, or just listening to some great music – he’s an excellent DJ.
Zak while “not a tour guide” was knowledgeable about many of the sites we visited and there were days where there were organized tours with guides for the day or the site. I felt like Zak really listened to the type of tours I was interested in and relayed that to our guides. Cities in Morocco do heavily rely on tourism, so yes people will always be looking to sell you something, but I felt like we visited shops where the materials were being made on site by trusted vendors. Being a fair review is important so I will say I did not enjoy my tour guide in Fez (he was not the normal guide apparently),as I personally did not enjoy the high pressure shops that he brought me to. In general I am not a fan of shopping and didn’t appreciate the scam and switch of the “best view of the city” that turned into high pressure carpet sales. I wish I could have spent the day with Zak instead!
Zak was happy to bring me to the shops I was interested in and even indulged in bringing me to a local grocery store to look around and get some sugar free red bulls. Zak brought me to some of the best local food vendors for meals and made sure that I was trying all of the best items that Morocco has to offer. He was kind enough to invite me to his parent’s home for tea and lunch and invited me to his own home to meet his brother and his dog Cooper. We picked up fresh fish in Essaouira and cooked it all up for the most delicious meal. Zak was selfless with his time, spending his birthday out in a campsite in the desert. He was always up for any adventure and joined me on ATV rides and an incredible sunset horseback riding trip. I will always be incredibly grateful to Zak for being such a wonderful host, keeping me safe, and being such an incredible friend. When I returned home I missed Morocco, but mostly I missed being able to share my time with Zak. He made this trip special and I’m so glad to have him as a lifelong friend, I will be forever grateful. I’d highly recommend requesting Zak as a driver when booking and will make sure that anyone visiting Morocco in the future travels with him.

Excellent Tour in Morocco - We just returned from a 10-day tour with Morocco Sahara Desert Travel. We travelled as a family (with a 5-year-old and a grandparent). We had a wonderful time and I highly recommend this agency. The 10-day tour hits the major attractions in Morocco, but what really made the experience was the human piece. Every day was a unique experience. Exploring the Dades Valley and camel riding in the desert were highlights of the trip.
Before travelling to Morocco, Hamid was very helpful and made time (even at odd hours) to discuss the details and answer questions. He promptly and thoroughly responded to all questions. He even found time to meet with us in Marrakesh to ensure that we were fully satisfied with the tour.
Travelling with a family provides for some unique challenges and opportunities. Fortunately for us, we had Youssef as our driver/guide/friend/go-to person for everything. Youssef is a kind human, has a great sense of humor and was great with kids! He was passionate about ensuring that we had the best possible experience. It’s hard to express how helpful he was and how lucky we were to have spent time with him. The best way to describe this is to say that it was difficult to say goodbye to him (we were all sad, especially the 5-year-old) at the end of the trip.
In sum – we had an excellent experience with Morocco Sahara Desert Travel.

Unforgettable experience - I am a solo traveler who just got back from an 18 days trip with Morocco Sahara Desert Travel. Hamid was the person who planned it for me. All I had to do is to mention my likes and suddenly the plan was done! I love the format used which made it very easy to access daily plans and hotels. Most of the hotels were Riads, big thumbs up for Hamid’s selection! Each Riad left me with never ending memories! I will forever remember these amazing people who went above and beyond to not only make my stay comfortable but to connect with me. I truly felt at home! I also met Hamid in Marrakech, all smiles and welcomes. Hospitality like no other!
Now about the driver. His name is Zack short for Zacharia! The trip started with him as a driver, not even a day later he became family. I am speechless about this beautiful soul. However much I express words do not define my gratitude towards him. Zack wasn’t only the driver… he became the doctor, the tailor, the chef, the guide, the babysitter, the lost and found (even human lost and found haha.. use your imagination on that one! Those old medinas can get a bit tricky!), and most importantly the friend that is rare to find nowadays, the true humble kind. He went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with every plan of the day. He is very knowledgeable of the areas and his little hole in the wall food finds made this foodie dancing from joy! His driving skills are top notch! I can say I saw Morocco with a different set of eyes. Zack personality made me slow down, reflect and appreciate the simplicity of life and the beauty of the country beyond the touristy sites.
If you do plan on traveling please do yourself a favor and try to mix with the locals. If you see a small entry in the medinas, step in, get out of your comfort zone and you will find a whole new world, a world filled with genuine smiles, people who want to feed you, share a cup of tea with you and believe me they are as curious about you as you are about them. I will never forget all the Amos (uncles) that Zack took me to. I could write a newspaper about this experience and still not get it across the way it deserve.
Thank you to Hamid who planned it and made it possible and a huge thank you to Zack who made it happen! Without him the tour could have not been the same!
Thank you Morocco for all the memories. I realized it isn’t a fair well when I left, it is more like see you later!

Attentive caring tour operator - Hamid is very responsive and easy to reach if any issues arise during the trip. We planned the itinerary together, and he pointed the places that are good for only one night, and the ones that are worth staying longer. We planned an 11-day comprehensive trip, going around Morocco, more or less as many tours. He did provide us with a very nice big vehicle for the two of us (A Toyota Land Cruiser) with an English-speaking driver. In the big cities of Fez and Marakesh he provided a licensed knowledgeable guide. The drivers provide some information based on their knowledge and they do know the areas and towns one visits. In some places we met some other of his drivers as they were all going through the same circle. Our driver was very polite, always on time, and was a fairly good driver, but we accepted more information, and a little more talkative driver, as we spent many hours on the road. We stayed in mainly 4-star Hotel/Riads, but that designation is a bit deceiving, as they vary in different locations, and most were pretty good, but lacking some of the standards that we are used to. But overall, Hamid chose good places, as in some areas the options are limited. I suggest looking at the pictures, descriptions and reviews of places before you lock them. Some of the places had some minor maintenance issues, and with some better care, they could have been much better. The intention of the owners was always good, and they were great hosts in every place, trying to please and being very hospitable. So just keep in mind it's a big country, lots of travel, but you will meet wonderful, friendly and smiling locals. Most of the roads were very comfortable, and many newer roads with plenty of new gas stations along the highways with usually food, markets and clean bathrooms on the road. In addition, note that they had cell towers everywhere, even in remote areas, which made staying in touch easy. Overall, it's a fascinating country with hospitable and friendly people. Hamid route really gave us a great overall feel of the country from cities to remote villages on the Atlas Mountains, and even one night in a tent in the Sahara Desert. He is local and he knows the country well, so I will recommend his services over out of the country tour operators.
