Marrakech – Ouarzazate

Museum-Theatre, Memory of Ouarzazate - Depart from Marrakech at 8 AM in a minibus, traveling through the lush foothills of the High Atlas on a winding pass road over the Tizi n’Tichka towards the south. Visit the Kasbah El Glaoui in Telouet and enjoy a picnic. Continue through the Ounila Valley to Aït Ben Haddou. Explore the ancient Ksar and stay overnight in an inn in Ouarzazate.

Ouarzazate – M’hamid

M’Hamid - The journey continues south in the minibus through the picturesque Drâa Valley, passing old villages and palm groves to the desert’s edge at M’hamid, where you meet the dromedaries and escort team. After loading the dromedaries, hike for about an hour to Rass Enakhl, the first night’s camp. Travel time: 5 hours │ Hiking time: 1 hour.

Rass Ennakhl – Sidi Naji

Erg Chigaga - Begin the hike over sand dunes and through a small oasis, then traverse a dry plain and more dunes to the camp at an old caravanserai near Marabout Sidi Naji. Lunch is served at the camp. The afternoon is free for leisure.
Hiking time: 5 hrs.

Sidi Naji – Erg Zeher

Erg Chigaga - This scenic and extended stage starts with a hike over dunes. The path then leads across a vast dry plain and past the ruins of an ancient souk. Enjoy lunch along the way. Continue hiking to camp beside the large Erg Zeher dune.
Hiking time: 6.5 hrs

Erg Zeher – Erg Smer

Erg Chigaga - Traverse the large Erg Zeher dune, a dry plain, and more dunes to reach the Drâa riverbed. Follow the riverbed to the camp at Erg Smer. Lunch is provided at the camp, with the afternoon free for leisure.
Hiking time: 4.5 hrs.

Erg Smer – Chegaga

Erg Chigaga - In the morning, cross the Drâa riverbed and walk through an expansive dry plain. Lunch is served en route. In the afternoon, continue over sand dunes to the camp at Chegaga.
Hiking time: 4.5 hrs

Chegaga – Foum Zguit – Aït Ben Haddou

Ait Ben Haddou - A jeep transports you to Foum Zguid. From there, continue by minibus to Ouarzazate (or Ait Ben Haddou), where you will spend the night in a hostel.

Aït Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Marrakech - The minibus returns to Marrakech through the Ounila Valley via Telouet.
Travel time: 4 hrs Overnight stay: not included.
