Journey from Marrakech to Boumalne Dades (via Ait Ben Haddou & Ouarzazate)

Boumalne Dades - Depart from Marrakech in the morning and travel towards the High Atlas Mountains, traversing the scenic Tizi n’Tichka pass. Pause at Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site, renowned for its kasbahs and as a filming location for numerous movies. Proceed to Ouarzazate, known as the “gateway to the desert,” for a brief tour of the Taourirt Kasbah. In the afternoon, journey through the Dades Valley, admire its stunning landscapes, and arrive at Boumalne Dades for an overnight stay.

Boumalne Dades to Merzouga (via Todra Gorge)

Boumalne Dades - After breakfast, depart for Todra Gorge, celebrated for its towering red cliffs and narrow canyon. Take a short walk to appreciate the awe-inspiring scenery. Continue your adventure through the desert landscapes to Merzouga, the entrance to the Sahara Desert. In the late afternoon, enjoy a camel ride to your desert camp, where you will spend the night in traditional tents under the stars, accompanied by a magical desert sunset.

Discovering the Merzouga Desert

Merzouga - Rise early to witness a sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, explore the dunes of Erg Chebbi on camelback or in a 4x4 vehicle. Visit a nomadic village, learn about the local Berber culture, and experience traditional desert life. Return to your camp for another night, with optional music around the campfire beneath the clear desert sky.

From Merzouga to Ouarzazate (via Rissani and Todra Valley)

Ouarzazate - After breakfast, depart Merzouga and head to Rissani, a significant historic town and former caravan hub. Continue through the picturesque valleys of the Atlas Mountains, stopping for photos and short walks as you make your way back to Ouarzazate. Optionally visit Kelaat M’Gouna and its renowned rose valleys, weather permitting. Overnight stay in Ouarzazate.

From Ouarzazate to Marrakech (via Ait Ben Haddou)

Marrakech - After breakfast, depart Ouarzazate and pass through Ait Ben Haddou for a brief stop or photo opportunity. Continue through the High Atlas Mountains, relishing the breathtaking views and the Tizi n’Tichka pass, before returning to Marrakech in the afternoon. Conclude the trip with a drop-off at your inn or a location of your choice in Marrakech.
